Idea for video subject How to deal with highly vertical integrated companies for licensing. Basically how do a deal with the parent company that own most of the retail options (bunch of "different" companies in the sector) but they are the manufacturer and wholesaler for them. The concern is they can license at what ever rate and put little to no markup to there down line recovering by having large mark up on retail end (if more sketchy, now charge them self more on products they sell them self with out your royalties) Is there a way to say your royalties are based on end consumer pricing or (msrp)?

Have you considered a system for inventors that will never be able to afford coaching of any kind? Great ideas that would provide your team with more money in the long term if you take 50 percent of each deal. Only choose the ones you believe have a high probability of a deal. Win/Win.

People are asking about this. Maybe in the future, it gets a little messy

Just my 2cents worth but IR would much become a venture capitalist putting it's own resources in for agreed returns/sharing. This might sound good to us with a good idea but no money but for InventRight it's a massive move even just legally. Davison is a group out there that says it does what you're saying but still charge big along the way to cover their own expenses first. Timely really good ideas without much backing money should eventually get through. IR might need to be more honest about a lot of people's ideas being maybe too hopeful. Maybe an honest half hour 3 person think tank assessment and advice for 100 dollars? If you can't save that you are unlikely to ever get something to step 2.

Thank you for replying. Please note this gets fairly complicated because now we’re partners. There would be certain rules and regulations and certain government guidelines. it’s not as easy as everyone thinks. Thank you for watching and commenting.

How about if you started a sell sheet data base for inventors to upload their ideas, charge very little each month and/or charge companies to have access to your data base separated into categories. It would grow very large and have value to companies while being affordable for inventors. Fixes a major problem for inventors and helping companies seeking new products. Profit from both ends while helping both.

That’s very interesting. Unfortunately that’s been done before without any success. Parking your idea and expecting a company to come and find it sounds wonderful. But reality that’s not the way it works. You have to bang down the door.
