I have 290,000km on my Porsche 968. Still brilliant and has done approx 10,000km a year from new. By the time I've done another 100k on it, there will be no use for it in whatever world we are going to end up with. I might as well enjoy it in all it's mechanical manual, non digital glory.

Museums are for unused vehicles. Use your cars you love and which make memories but each time bring smiles on your face. But, maintain them so they are reliable and safe. You say, governments are anti cars, however, we need cars to get around, we only have one bus per week which gives us 1hr shopping time. A taxi for the same trip costs £30. Walking the same distance takes 4hrs. Stuff any government who tries to restrict us. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

don't worry you're not going to have driverless cars anytime soon. definitely not in the next decade. just like they overhyped EVs and desperately pushed for their mass adoption; there will be a similar attempt but it will fail. people don't live in fear and vote with your wallet! best of luck :)
