Descenter1976 It's not that. It's great that they don't let people drive on the sidewalk. What makes these guys assholes is that they deliberately piss people off because they want a reaction. If they did everything really smoothly and politely then there would be nothing entertaining to watch in these videos. Most of the times people admit that they are wrong for driving on the sidewalks and they try to get off. But these assholes don't let them. Instead they force them to drive all the way back. That is completely unnecessary. Those drivers should be able to get off right there. In many situations the driver is just couple car lengths away from getting to the other side through the sidewalk and these guys still force the drivers to drive all the way back. So by their logic driving straight on the sidewalk is dangerous. But driving in reverse on the sidewalk with your windshield covered in stickers is completely fine. That's what makes these guys assholes.

Car windows are pretty tough especially the annealed glass on the windshield. The lateral windows are pretty tough in their own way unless you've got a really pointed object, can smash the edge of the tempered glass or have some ceramic.

I don't know if you're being obtuse or are just missing my point but the what I was hoping to convey is that purposely running 10 meters laterally to the grass only to jump on the hood of a car that is trying to avoid the pedestrians on the sidewalk is not the same as when a different car stops in front of 2 or 3 activists and tries to drive over them when activists fail to yield. Both cars are driving illegally but one of them attempted to yield the pedestrians and the other continued to plow through them when the activists failed to move for his car. The point is it's unfair in the first scenario to run over and jump on the hood of the car that is trying to avoid you and then scorn the driver for trying to run over pedestrians. Nobody's set of rules would see these as equal failed attempts to yield to a pedestrian thus the punishments should not be equal. In one case I agree the driver should be cited for driving on a sidewalk, failure to yield, and attempted hit and run. In the other scenario I feel that the driver should be cited for driving on a sidewalk but they are clearly is not guilty of failure to yield or an attempted and run and if I'm on a jury watching this video I'm not only dismissing this charge but I would also award her the damages this activist caused to her car. It's a fine line but it seems these scenarios are obviously on different sides of the line.

yes in some countries including the UK have some electronic bollards where only buses and emergency vehicles can pass through by activating a sensor which lowers the posts. This would stop these idiots from being able to drive down there but still let emergency vehicles through, but yeah its funny to see the stupidity of some of these drivers and then see their reactions when they get a sticker.
