@@tx41hg2 Laws don't allow, laws prohibit. There is NO law prohibiting a person from putting a sticker on the window of a car, or defending oneself with pepper spray from assault. There IS a law prohibiting fools like yourself from driving on the public sidewalk.

One would think that the local government would realize what a cash cow this is and up the fines and enforcement...as well as impounding repeat offenders vehicles....From the attitude of some of these drivers ,it’d probably be a steady source of income for the city.

Yes! That's what I've been saying from day 1 since I started watching Stop. They should just give a small bounty on the offences. 5% of the fine for each offence. I bet the officers will be out and issuing non stop! And the fines should keep increasing until they feel the pain or learnt their lesson!

@J What you don't realize is that, even though you are correct on everything, it still doesn't mean they can't milk this like a cash cow. Especially corrupt cops should be interested in earning a little extra money by slapping tickets on every single car they can find.

@@StormHentai % of the fine was a huge issue in the 90s and early 00s. Cops weren't doing their job, they were just looking for any pretence to stop you and issue tickets for offences you didn't commit. Part of the reason dashcams came here en masse before anywhere else in the world (the other part was insurance scams). If that practice were to be revived dashcams wouldn't help anyway against speeding tickets: "who says your dashcam records speed correctly? We have a certified radar here - it doesn't lie."

@Lowezar hm... Then a bounty isn't a good solution. But the police force have to be more vigilant in enforcing their duties. Especially in keeping updated with the constitution and the traffic laws. This is their city and country after all, it'll be a nicer place if people are a little more considerate towards others.

the fact that they continue to drive onto the sidewalk with the officer sitting right there just shows you how ingrained it is to do so. they learn more from their parents and neighbors how to drive, rather than paying attention to their driving lessons.

Для тупых ментов нужно иметь заготовленную выписку закона с его номером - где чёрным по белому будет написано, что деятельность полиции является гласной и граждане имеют право вести видео фиксацию в общественных местах, а не просто на словах ему разъяснять и говорить ему, что он позорится. Это тупоголовый мент, не знающий собственное законодательство, с ним не о чем разговаривать просто так.
