What if my room fits perfectly for 55" tv would you still recommend buying the s90c given that samsung tvs are produced in my country and available at better prices (55" is around 1000$) and LG and Sony have very little interest in our market so let alone finding one of their flagship tvs here.

@@bucclao209 S95C so good. Keep it. There is like big 1000-around 1400 nit difference. That’s BIG jump. D larger Tv u need MORE respectful contrast to look more 3D. It’s GOOD investment :) cuz it will have Larger stretch of shades of grey. Light scenes like day time forest, there more diff shades of green for leafs. . It will look more 3D :) 😊 keep it :) 😊. The S90C best choice prob means _best bang for the buck for premium. But S95C is def better.

If I remember correctly when I checked AAA prices last year, they were about 1/3 off of whatever the going price is...including sale prices like BF. I'm going to wait to see what the price diff will be with 75 QM8 & U8K and the 77 S90C.

Thanks for the recommendation. I bought it. My QN95B broke & Samsung offered a refund. The QN95B was excellent, but some features never worked and then it stopped turning on - I may have had a lemon. The S90C is my first OLED. It is spectacular! I don't miss the OneConnect. Despite the superb brightness, image quality and limited blooming of the QN95B, the S90C is superior for my use, even for daytime viewing (I have blinds). Let's hope the new TV lasts longer!

Hey, FOOOMMMOOOOOO!!! I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the 77” S90C with the Q990C. The only thing left to do is figuring out a workaround the fact that the TV does not support DTS and the Soundbar does but does not feature HDMI 2.1 passthrough (BIG headscratcher)… I have a lot of DTS media at home. Any ideas or recommendations to make this work?

I recently bought s90c 55, the box is dated August 2023 so it is possible that it has a second generation panel, the colors and brilliance are very impressive, the games in HDR leave me speechless ❤

@@MrStevenakachico Absolutely nuts. Its a 144hz panel so motion will feel excellent and pixel response time is low. Its honestly a non-issue at this point

@@danender5555 if you enter the service mode it will say something under the servicemenu, which you can enter with some button combinations (power off 119 mute power on 1234 or something). Under the 'Anapeak' value it will say a number. 512 and 588 (so in the 500s) is 2nd gen. a number in the 600 tells you its first gen

How can the colour space issue be managed? Is it as simple as having one setting for HDR and one setting for SDR and then changing between the two? And if so can that setting be changed easily?

I have a question. There is the S90CA sold in Best Buy and such, then there is the S90CD sold in warehouses like Sams Club, with supposedly better speakers and a 5 year warranty. Hi, if I buy this TV and the Samsung 990C which don’t have HDMI2.1, how can I connect my PS5, apple TV4k, Cable Box etc and not miss out on the 2.1 features? Can I just plug all of them to the TV first and then to the 990C or will I miss some features etc? Lastly, can this TV Remote or the 990C remote control the TV+Soundbar+cable box??? I don’t want to use 2 remotes please

Is there any slim wall mount for the s90c that utilizes the shape of the tv where all the electronics are at the bottom part of the tv? They sit so fare away from the wall normally.

Crazy not to get the S90C, if you are looking for a 77". People think there is some big difference between these top end sets. The only big difference is the price. People just have this idea that one set is going to blow your mind and the other is gonna look not so good. Unless you have these side by side, you would never know or tell the differences, which are TINY. You will not enjoy watching something on the G3 more than the S90C and vice versa.

I have them both and the s95c is leagues ahead when watching sports in a bright room. It’s way brighter with sdr settings maxed out. Which is how most people watch regular tv in a bright room for that near led experience. Also I’d you use dynamic tone mapping, again for a bright room viewing, it’s not close and the s95c is noticeably a cut above.

The uniformity alone is a reason to buy. I’ve had several problems with past oleds: vertical banding, grid effect, Venetian blinds, and pink and yellow tint. My latest oled lg c2 is much better but still not perfect.

@@Mikem242424 The 77" Samsung S90C uses a superior quality panel, the same panel used in the much more expensive S95C. If a 77" TV would be worth getting for you, I would strongly consider the 77" model.

@syncmonism thanks since I have written this I have learned a lot since then I did get the sony bit I took it back right now I have the LG c2 I bought it from best buy for 930 dollars! I got lucky because it has no scratches or burn in and works perfect. I think it was the display and has a lot of hours but I have the warranty too and it's working great. I agree with you I am looking at that 77inch I think that's the better one I have 60 days to return if I can fond a good deal ima trade

Since this review, is it still a crap shoot on which panel you would get or are they ALL 2nd gen panels now for the S90C? Wouldn't take a chance on getting the gen1 panel I already have.

I watch a lot of low bit content (sling, Pluto tv, peacock, etc) I currently use Apple TV 4k with my Sony x900f and the picture quality is phenomenal, the up scaling looks amazing. Is it Apple TV that upscales or my x900f? If I plug Samsung s90c to my Apple TV, would the picture quality be same, maybe even better?

I'm in the market for a new TV and your videos are helping me, in no small part, in making a better buying decision. Personally eyeing the demos at Best Buy further validated the models I'm interested in. But the one information I'm struggling to find is soundbar accommodation when using OE feet. You see, our future (77") TV will be integrated into an existing entertainment center which will allow the TV to directly stand on it (it shares a wall with a bathroom so...plumbing therefore no wallmount). This is were my frustration lies with the lack of available information. Finding dimension specs are easy enough for height with or without stands, but when it comes to adjustable height (like some Sony stands) I'm left wondering if I'm already seeing maximum height or not. In the case of Samsung (namely the S90C chosen by yours truly) its centrally mounted stand has a slope which may or may not allow a soundbar, and if it doesn't will I have enough room to put a soundbar in front of the stand. To cut this short, please do not neglect this information because a soundbar easily becomes 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost of the TV itself and could very well be a major factor (perhaps unfortunately as in my case) in TV model selection. Thanks for the videos! I wish I knew your name so I could've addressed you with it, but that's another info I'm lacking...

I loved the heck out of mine for 4 weeks - then it broke. No picture. Samsung warranty repairman came and swapped out the main board and the panel, still didn't work. They're ordering a power board and another main board and then are coming back. Hoping that does it, I'd like to have it back up and running.

filmmaker mode warm1 (warm 2 is actually too warm) contrast 50 color 25 iirc sharpness 0 hdr to static (!) those are some good baseline settings if u dont want to bother with proper calibration i also set dejudder to 3 to combat 24p stutter without introducing soap opera effect

I have the 77” s95c got for $2989 at bb open item and have 60days to return or exchange. I’m slowly falling in love with it, but want the most 3 dimensional out of the tv so thinking about the LG G3 if it’s the same or if g3 has more pop. Do u know if it does??? Some says it does and some says it’s the same … what u think?? Should I keep my s95c or get a g3 but price is now $3999 for the 77” g3 but still more than my open item 77” s95c.

G3 over rated. Google “rtings tv color volume testing chart” , it shows u all the like d top 40 of TVs on d list. G3 is on d 😮24th.😮 It’s always OLED-EPIC Down Fall. They have VERY crappy Color volume. Very crappy. LG C3 tested pathetic 7.8, c1 c2 pathetic 7.9. Even QM8 is rated at 9.0 matching QD-OLED. That’s why influencers/ Bestbuy TV sales, can be manipulative. They will OVER OVER OVER again tell u “high end processing, deep black, OLED this, some vision , HD +” but they are not gonna warn u :”IT has bad color volume, looks good on paper, in real life u dont see as MUCH color Volume as LED --FYI LED has 1.3-1.5X rich Color volume. We need to see Color in bright object”. We see 3D visual by seeing COLORS. thats why MINI LED mock ppl that being brain washed to Believe”experts” tell ppl Black will give u better visual, actually need yes Black, but peak color , then COLOR VOLUME. If u see a Bright object, like fire, or purple/blue led, in d dark room. Yes their color might be accurate vivid, but if losing color volume, its losing its Glossy/buttery luminance. Dude keep the S95C . Not sure if it has film maker mode like what Hisnse does. It’s crap. S95C is best of 2023.

None at all. I swear by my AppleTV. Not going back to anything else. For me personally it seems as though the picture quality is better than the built in streaming apps. I would suggest getting one with a wired connection. I also like the ability to switch between, HDR 10 and Dolbyvision as opposed to being forced into using one or the other. Also to me, the movies on iTunes look and sound pretty damn good when compared to other streaming movie services. In a nutshell, I use it as my TV Hub. I don’t even worry about the TV’s internal entertainment center.

I’ve just bought the s90c but i have two issues: 1- when i m watching a movie the moving is like 30fr and theres no setting to put the hz in 60hz in all content if u can help me i appreciate that thx. 2-Bad quality clips get much worse, how can i turn on the upscaling?

I've heard something about that you can alter the settings on the S90C 2nd gen panel TV's so it gets the brightness of the S95C. Does anybody know how to do that through the service menu?

Sony A80L would be my choice howl.me/ckKaS49rnhI as it has the new XR Clear processing to clean up streaming content - it is slightly better than the A80K and priced close enough that I'd go with the newer OLED with XR Clear which is what makes the A95L so good too!

I'm not surprised man, as someone looking to upgrade sets (OLEDs) in 2023 I call the 77 inch S90c "The Clean Up Man". As in they seem to be pricing it between the 65inch versions of the S95C and G3. Last year the G3 went to $1999 during Black Friday, being that the prices of the S95c and G3 have been neck and neck, I see a $1999 77inch Black Friday S90c as a possibility. Samsung is cleaning up because the G3 has not one competitor, but 2 Samsung competitors that price point. As far its actual weight class with the C3, it's no competition, QD-OLED Features and Peak Brightness for the win. The little brother has won that battle and went on to double team the G3 with its big brother. I will say that upscaling of Low Bit Rate Content is still a thing for me. I returned my S95B because of that. For my viewing habits, Low Bitrate Content was anything in HD on Netflix. With the S95B I found if I was watching something in 4K on Netflix (or other sources) was new visual experience, if it was in HD on Netflix it looked like a 6 Series Samsung TV (meh). I don't have slow internet by any means lol. Hopefully this has been somewhat remedied with the newer models. Question? FOMO, when reviewing TV's is there a "Everyday TV Watching" factor that's part of the consideration? It maybe something to consider. We're all cord cutters at this point, how does it look when watching maybe Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+ for upscaling etc. The trend is to compare at TOP Levels (which is good), but what about everyday common man levels lol.

Exactly. Not enough emphasis these days on image processing and motion. These things affect daily viewing way more than the demo material +gaming content everyone is comparing these TVs with. Plus - even if you watch a lot of 4K hdr content, most of it is still graded super conservatively. That super bright color luminance boost and 1000+nit specular highlights aren’t common in film and TV shows. Only in KZfaq demo material and gaming.

Should I not get the s90c if I want to watch football and normal TV? I read theres motion issues, but the C3 which is another one I was looking at looked quite a lot dimmer and the image just didnt look as good in a side by side on youtube. Its so hard to figure out all this stuff and understand whats best.

Just got S90C, everything is great exept one issue, every time i turn off my tv it resets both my monitors, it would not be problem with 1, but i have 2 monitors, got no idea how to fix it. I have atm TV connected to PC via hdmi 2.1, and 2 monitors via display port. Every time i turn off my TV, both my monitors blackout for few sec and only primary monitor goes online, secondary stays off until i turn on tv back again or enable it in nvidia control panel, is there any fix so i can have both my monitors on at same time when i turn off tv?

Hey Fomo… love your videos man … I currently have both the Samsung S95B and the S95C and the Upscaling on these 2 tvs once you get the picture dialed in correctly with Picture Clarity Custom 10 on Blur Reduction and 0 on Judder with Noise Reduction to auto it’s unbelievable looking for 720P and 1080i sports! Motion is perfect too! Picture is SHARP! Obviously 4K images just explode on these tvs and I’m sure the S90C is no different! Just loving the Inages! Actually there is some special sauce with the S95B… it’s actually a bit better than the S95C! Just AMAZING! Keep the videos Popping

Hi FoMo, After alot of research i decided on the 75" TCL QM8 for the price. I went to BestBuy to buy the 75" inch TLC QM8 for $1,399 but saw a open box 77" Samsung S90C for $2,000 (it's still in the box untouch not the ones that's out on the floor unboxed that most likely have been hanging on the wall. My original budget was $1,600 so didn't consider the S90C for $2,500. But at $2,000 it made me pause. What are your thoughts?

S90C is noticeably more impactful than the X93L in overall image quality because OLED is just that much better in contrast. X93L will always have blooming of black bars which annoys me greatly so I can't recommend it when the S90C costs less and looks better. If the X93L was less expensive then that would be a discussion but as it stands I'd go with the S90C or Sony A75L if you want to preserve the "sony look" on an affordable OLED

I have spoken to multiple samsung reps working in retail they have currently all said the same thing about the 55" and 65" S90C having the 2nd generation panel theres been no differing stories so far. The suggestion that its a mix of 1st gen panels and 2nd gen panels just seems to be coming from reviewers. 🤔 So still extremely unsure as to who is right and who is wrong. Is there any evidence to place any doubt about the generation of panels Samsung is using ?

I just bought the 77" S89C from Best Buy for $1799.99. Still in the box but plan to get it hooked up for movie night tonight. It is replacing a 12 year old 60" Panasonic TC-P60ST30 Plasma TV. What a great TV the Panasonic has been. Nothing is wrong with the Plasma TV. It was just time to upgrade and upsize to OLED. Now I have to figure out where to put the Plasma.
