Just received our new 895 and looking through the vids etc, storage is a problem as you never have enough, thought I’d share this interesting walkthrough with my better half only to regret it, she has now claimed the starboard overhead lockers in the front berth, even though it’s my sleeping side 😩😆

Yet another great video. Interesting to see how you stow the cupboard under the stove/sink with a lot of collapsible containers. The kettle looks very clever. Though I prefer a metal one. I take it you used to use the forward box in the cockpit for lifejackets? Hence the label, or was that the previous owner? As you mentioned that port locker can get damp in heavy weather/ rain. Do you move the jackets inside when you are not using the boat? Like the tip to the ladies on the port and starboard over bed lockers in the master cabin. Still very envious of your dinghy rack. Such a sensible idea! Will try to find someone in the U.K. to make one closer to the price you paid. Look forward to more videos on your 895.

Thanks John. I love my collapsible kettle, the metal one took up heaps on room, but you are English so cups of tea a priority!! hahaha The lifejackets used to be in that front locker but I need to access the ropes more often and the other lockers (with a cushion on top) are difficult to get into. I should move the sticker I guess! I don't move them inside but when all the covers are up I open all storage bins and let them air. I know a few people have ordered internationally on the tender rack. Maybe a few people in the UK could put in an order together?? There has been lots of interest. Cheers

Hi Thanks for the video. I store my wine glasses on rails bought from a kitchen place below the cooker so they hang upside down in the cupboard, works really well and they stay put in rough weather. I don’t have a rear canopy so have semi waterproofed the rear lockers by putting recessed cupboard handles in the current holes, using self adhesive seal around the perimeter with additional latches, fitted drain hose on the cup holders as they empty into the locker and drilling drain holes at the top rear of the aft locker to stop pooling. Works quite well.

Hi Mike, Yes I want to do that with the wine glasses as well. There has been 'debate' whether they will interfer with getting stuff in and out but I like the idea. Awesome idea on the read storage lockers. Yes if there is heavy weather everything gets wet.

I find there is Plenty of room with the wine glasses hanging, have got 2 rows of them towards the rear of the cabinet. Would send a photo if that was possible.

Very interesting & helpful, Brooke. What might you do if a longer trip in more remote areas required you to store more food aboard? I'm thinking of crisps, crackers, cans of soup, containers of pasta, rice, quinoa etc.? And we seem to need a variety of spices when cooking; if you carry some, where do you store them? On another note, that cappuccino machine needs an inverter installed for use when at anchor...so tell Damian he needs to get busy! Sure am getting a lot of good ideas from your channel!

Thanks Jack. The longest we've been out is three days so storage hasn't been a problem. You could always put some extra stores in the laverettte. Can't justify the cost of an inverter for coffee!! hahaha we will continue to use the genny. Cheers

No the cutting board isn't an option but it should be. It wasn't bespoke but just good luck as we previously had the small cutting board. Easy to make, just be sure it is thin enough to fit under the gas strut. Any ideas for new videos??

Where do you stow the safety equipment such as the life raft and more??

We don't have a life raft, it isn't required for the boating we do and we also have a tender that could be used in that case. I keep a grab bag in the cockpit seats, with the life jackets.
