WHAT IS NEWS TOWER?
In News Tower, you will follow some of the key moments of the 1930s , but it will be up to you whether to cover and even influence them.
It’s up to your reporters to beat the deadline to get the news while it’s hot. Time is money in News Tower!
Use your reporter’s favorite topics to send them searching for the right news to get it faster, or it might already be old news by the time they return. The more they cover a topic, the more experienced they get , allowing you to sharpen your editorial line.
Search for exciting news across the US and the world that matches your reader’s interest and editorial line.
Will you decide to publish gossip to satisfy your readers' thirst for sensational press, or will you always seek hard stories for the truth?
A lot of news offers different avenues of investigation, unveiling diverse versions of the story. Send your reporter down a path, but be mindful of the risk and rewards of each: poking your nose around the mafia may lead to “offers” that you can’t refuse…
Not everyone is in favor of the freedom of the press…

Really enjoying this game. Just a tip, if you click any desk and click the up arrows button it will open the build menu to anything that will upgrade that desk. Much easier way to make sure you have all the upgrades. You can also have as many of each upgrade as you need (like the entertainment poster)

Alot of the town influence tags are no longer centered around the 6 base subjects (economy, entertainment, etc.), they're more particular about the juicy content they want from their stories. If you want an economy-rich story area, you might just need to pick a place with a tag request that says "likely discovered in news with [economy]" for instance.

Hi Charlie, Thanks for the great content. @38.08 you start to assemble the front page. The "Ancestral Displacement" story gives 6000 sold papers for "Above the line" content , but you switch it for "The Bombshell" which only gives 4000 you get the info under the "Tab" "Multipliers" under the "Content" and above the "Sales" tab. When I get to the end of the week and I have stories enough for this week and stories with two or the tags shows up on the map, i save them for the beginning of next week, in that way I'll already have some good stories instead of "old news".

Came for big ambitions, stayed for everything else! Loving the series so far! I think having your printer between floors is wasting space. The first module on the floor below takes up the same space as the module above with which just turns the corner. Does it make more sense to keep it on one floor until you fill it? Not 100% sure, I might be misunderstanding the mechanics but thought I’d point it out in case it helped!

Bro, I love how this is supposed to be historically accurate to an extent, and with the "judge unreliable" story from here in the Portland area would agree with that. The DAs and courts with the lawyers and judges has been deeply corrupt for so so long, to where they're effectively their own gang/mafia since the early 70s. The amount of families and people who have been threatened by them, or otherwise targeted by them for demanding their cases be brought into litigation is incredible. Almost all of them are related to family members disappearing, being murdered, abducted, or trafficked, or something really off going on with the Police regarding the situation and circumstances surrounding the family member's death or disappearance. I guess it's been corrupt longer than I ever even learned! Sad and crazy.

I'd move the security to that spare spot on top level next to the door. Then you will have enough room for another desk. Just a suggestion 😅😂

Moving security… farther away from the ground level door? They have to physically move to locations to engage hostile people. I’d want them as close to the door as possible.

As far as im concerned I see the fine of the police more like you reporter to get that news has to trespass security blocks. So you if get caught you get fined and the middle is more like you get to talk your way out a litle. That is how i rationalize it at least

Logically, the Security Booth should be located outside the building next to the entrance. Try placing it there perhaps?

I’ll consider it. If I did that, it would be later this year during a gap (I don’t have much for gaps for content planned this year). I’d also probably be recording many videos ahead of release, as that’s absolutely going to get backseated heavily. ;)
