I can't keep track of how many balls came out already in the span of 3 months. I feel like I see a new ball video every two weeks. Hopefully they make a whole lot more for next year. Hopefully another reality ball type would be nice!

But what's worse is it seems every new SPI ball costs $175-$200 now. So if this ball is the weakest ball of the lineups, why $200. It's not a new core or coverstock.

And when he changes the ball layouts to weaker or stronger doesnt that void the differences?? Shouldnt he of drilled them all identical layouts so we can see the real difference?

@@feverdream2661 most of the balls that are compared to the newest releases are just what happens to be in my bag at that time. You won't be able to see that 1/4 of an inch difference in layout. I'm here to explain where these balls fit.

@@feverdream2661 Earlier and smoother means: The ball will read the lane sooner Smoother means less hockey stick and more roundish. It's not going to be super quick once it sees friction. People love to look at hook for it's movement left to right (or vice versa). It's actually front to back. That's how to gauge how strong a ball in almost every situation. Moving where the pin is does change things, but the cover is still different. Could you in theory get them very close if you put put lighter surface on the solid and more surface on the pearl? Probably, yea. But they will still be different. One cover will also react to surface a lot more than the other. But the general idea of the Absolute vs Absolute Power will be pretty noticeable. The Power will start to read the lane earlier and start up sooner.

Darren, how about a video of 12 lb balls, maybe 5 of them, to see which one hooks the best for older bowlers who cant handle anything heavier. My Storm Surge-11 lbs isnt hooking well. Want to upgrade to a 12 if it would be worth it.

I wanna try the power sooooo bad but I absolutely(no pun intended) HATED the og absolute. Idk if I just never found the right situation for it. But that was part of the problem I could NEVER find a situation where it looked good for me. And my pin carry with it has been awful if I ever could get it there. Sadly turns me off from anything related to it

Can you explain what the drilling layouts mean?? How is someone supposed to know which number layout to drill. Does it depend on your release?? Its really confusing

It depends on your pap, release and other factors, your pro shop operator should be able to determine layout for you based on what characteristics you tell them you want.

Watching a lot of videos lately about bowling and I don’t understand half of the slang terms used, so it’s hard for me to get much value from them. I’m going to try to get lessons from my pro shop owner, so he’ll probably explain some of the slang to me. I wish some of the bowling content creators would realize that their videos are like Greek to many of us wanting to learn, but not yet understanding all of the slang terms.
