STORM CHASING Hurricane Beryl in Texas. Gulf of Mexico.
I am boots on the ground and will be covering hurricane Beryl through it's entirety. Including where / near where the eye wall hits & surveying the damage afterwards.
Beach Erosion, Flooding, storm surge, Tornados, damage etc.
From Corpus Christi Texas, through Mustang Island, Port Aranas, Port Lavaca, Matagorda Beach, Galveston & Houston.

Hi Jlr & Magnolia! I'm about 30 min from Galveston. It is 70 mph now moving NNW @12mph. Should be Cat 1 & expected to hit Matagorda. Going in at 75+ mph and their saying storm surge is rolling in now. I'm hunkered down. Ya'll be safe!!

Hi JLR😊 As a Floridian you already know that 65 mph won't be much more than a little breeze!! The only difference is that Texas soil doesn't absorb the rain as easily as the sandy soil of FL.

On the Mississippi gulf coast. Hurricanes are not a joke. Nothing to play with. But my understanding is JLR is from Florida. If so, he would know all about hurricanes

I lived in the VA Beach area when Hurricane Floyd came inland. We were told it wouldn't. We tried to evacuate from the flooding, but the rivers a few towns over had flooded and LE turned us around. We had to hope and pray at home. I prefer to live away from coastlines. Y'all stay safe out there. We are awaiting the TD in the Memphis area later this week. I hope it turns again or loses intensity.

Use to go oyster hunting in palacios love that area been through many of a hurricane on the Texas coast.people that don’t live on the coast do not understand the lure of a hurricane.I’ve rode hurricanes out sense the 60s.don’t worry about the boats they’ve ridden hurricanes out forever.
