@aris maiden Our tv news and newspapers don't feed us propaganda. They occasionally make mistakes, but they don't just make up stuff. They show both the good and bad about America and the entire world. The channels PBS Discovery (and others) make documentaries that also show the same thing. You were complaing about propaganda and yet were making up propaganda about America and its citizens.

@@darthken815 News and newspapers are not the only way to shape peoples opinions. 1:50 explain to me the stereotypes 3 cunts have that a boy conscripted to army would suddenly kill an old woman. Why? Spoiler - because he's from soviet union. Not even russian. Because anything and anyone east of Poland(which is thankfully protected from you by EU and Germany nowadays) is not seen as human being by you. Even as a LotR fanboy, I feel a pain of understanding whom orcs are supposed to represent and why Tolkien claimed that they can't be redeemed(thus sentencing sentient race to extermination). Only much later in his life, after horrors WWII and creation of Israel that cunt apologised and changed his view. Stereotypes sell. They sell books, they sell movies, they sell videogames. And in Russia, Ukraine and many other former USSR states with their low population(thanks, guys. What would we do without you? Die from overpopulation probably) the consumage rate of media is rather low due to low numbers of viewers, players and so on. Unlike China for example. That's why you cunts keep silent about Hong Kong while selling more Cold War styled media about bad soviets(spoiler alert, USSR stopped existing almost 3 decades ago. In a few years it'll pass the time period of World Wars in size, meaning that you'd be living with equivalent of pre-WWI worldview after WWII. Though considering that _someone_ still CAN'T to this day admit Armenian Genocide, it's no surprise...). Because China have over a billion consumers. And you financially are bound to them since Reegan decided to use China as ally to win Cold War economically. You've made your bed, now we'll all watch you lie in it in next 20 years:P

I mean, technically they did/will all die, just not then and there. I'm sure even that short exposure was enough to cut a lot of time from their lifespans, considering the insane level of radiation on that roof. I know the show for sure exaggerates things a good bit, but they definitely absorbed enough radiation to get bad health effects. The distance from Chernobyl to the German border is just over 1000km (650mi), which is about as far as the distance between New York City and Indianapolis. So it was also in Germany's own interest to do everything possible to help out in this situation. Most people from outside Europe are also unaware that radioactive fallout was falling over large parts of Europe at that time. In the southern regions here in Germany, for example, you should not eat forest mushrooms even today, as they far exceed the limits for caesium-137. (Europe: www.bayernkurier.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Radioaktivitaet_in_Europa_49081034-954x1024.jpg Germany: www.bayernkurier.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Radioaktivitaet_im_Boden_49081087-738x1024.jpg ) By the way, I was 6 years old at the time and can still remember that I wasn't allowed to play outside anymore when that happened.

And yet even today, several thousand Becquerels per kilogram are still detected in mushrooms. No more than 600 Becquerels are permitted for sale in Germany. (www.bfs.de/DE/themen/ion/umwelt/lebensmittel/pilze-wildbret/pilze-wildbret.html ) As far as I can see, none of my statements are wrong. So I don't really know what you're pointing at.

As others said, most of the liquidators, including the ones on the roof, either didn't die or if they eventually got sick it was many years later. At this time there were some protective measures taken such as time spent in the highly radioactive places. There were some who suffered from acute radiation sickness but generally got better, some remained with frail health. There's a couple of documentaries where they have actual footage of the roof cleanup, the prep for it, it's been recreated on the show almost identically, very interesting, even the speech. They couldn't show much of the other measures taken such as removing the top layers of soil and burrying them under clean layers that were underneath, spraying a whole lot of the surfaces in the area, the trees, to keep the contaminated dust and soil from being carried up and away by wind and such

@YekouriGaming
@YekouriGaming 3 жыл бұрын
Lyudmilla touched her husband a lot in real life. It is way more horrifying when going into the details about that. There is nothing bad by touching someone who has been exposed to radiation as long as the radioactive particles are gone which are mostly stuck onto surfaces and would be inside of you as you inhaled them. She stayed along her husbands side after the first few days which is what is portrayed for the most part, and she did realize that he was going to die and he was slowly dieing along with others of the firefighter wifes who were also there. They would sing songs to them, bake cakes, bring flowers and other stuff to them, and would try and help the nurses if they could. According to one of the wifes there, one of them did grab one their legs when they were in that almost zombie state, and the skin and flesh came off the leg bone, and Vasily Ignatenko died of multiple organ failure about 30 minutes after Lyudmilla had left him after he had some flowers brought to her. She did not understand the full scope of radiation until way later, and she genuinely thought that her baby would be safe as it was inside of her and the only visible thing that was wrong was the skin of all the people with radiation burns. Her baby most likely died as a fetus has a lot of cell-copying and if some of the DNA gets destroyed or mutated (changed) then it can lead to issues, it is also why smoking, drinking, drugs, a lot of different pills etc. are bad when you are pregnant.

"There was one standout star of Chernobyl‘s depressing fourth episode, and it wasn’t any of the human characters. It was an adorable little robot by the name of Joker. In the latest episode of The Chernobyl Podcast, series creator Craig Mazin and podcast host Peter Sagal broke down the real-life story of the lunar and police robots that were used to clean up radioactive waste after the disaster. After the Chernobyl 4 reactor exploded, it left a large amount of debris on the surrounding roofs. This included huge chunks of radioactive graphite. Officials realized that they could throw the graphite back into the reactor to build a sort of Sarcophagus over the reactor, encasing the radiation. But there was just one problem. It wasn’t safe for any human to go onto the highly radioactive roof. “Exposure to radiation is cumulative, and it doesn’t go away,” Mazin explained on the podcast. “That place would … kill you in a minute and a half.” The real solution the Soviet Union came up with was to use Russian lunar landers, called Lunokhod, and a borrowed police robot. Joker was one of the latter robots. It was originally from West Germany, and just like “The Happiness of All Mankind” shows, it was sent to the rooftop to remove the rubble. Two men even risked their lives moving graphite to make sure Joker could move freely on the roof. And yet the robot supposedly designed for these types of missions almost immediately died of radiation exposure. “The Soviets - and this is mind-blowing to me - they refused to tell anyone how bad the situation was. Even then, months later, after the world knew about Chernobyl and knew what it meant they were still soft-pedaling just how bad it was to the point where they refused to tell the West Germans how much radiation was on that roof,” Mazin said. “It was 600 percent or 700 percent more than it could handle. And what blows my mind is the Soviet power system thought that was OK. Why not? Let’s just see. It’s the same kind of attitude that leads to Chernobyl in the first place.” Most of the robots used seen in Episode 4 are CGI. However, the crew actually built a version of Joker for this episode. As for the real Joker, it’s still around. There are pictures of the robot online and it can be found in a garbage heap in the radiation zone. It’s still very dangerous and very radioactive. The other depressing addition to this subplot was also true. After Joker and its peers largely failed, the Soviet Union did send up groups of soldiers to remove the debris. They were referred to as “biorobots,” and as seen in the episode they could only be exposed to the radiation for 90 seconds at a time. Any longer than that and they would risk death. As Mazin reveals, roughly 3,000 men completed this mission, all donned in homemade armor. Naturally the Soviet Union refused to properly equip these men who were risking their lives. As is always the case with this show, Chernobyl may seem grim, but the reality was worse. So, so much worse." Image of the real "joker" (very dangerous yet) i-redd-it.translate.goog/q7niunjmpv031.jpg?_x_tr_sl=en&_x_tr_tl=it&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp

The radiation did kill and shorten the lives of many, but so many reactors seem to be overestimating the damage. The people on the roof definitely didn’t get nothing, but the talked earlier about how long they can be exposed and what it would do. Thy said 2 minutes cuts life expectancy in half, 3 kills in months. They deliberately sent each person for 1.5 mins

@evilbabai7083 4 жыл бұрын
Most of those people would be pretty much alright (I mean they definitely had like 4 times higher cancer chances, but none had recieved a radiation sickness) as they were only affected by gamma radiation at the limited time while having grear to protect them from the alpha and beta particles. Problem is that some of soldiers didn't took that to serious by extending their sorties or even going for the several in a row (and even not every of that received severe effects for the health). You can check out a documentary "Chernobyl 3828" about those people: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMx0lJult5iZlJ8.html Taking about graphite tips - this part is oversimplified as actually there were no "tips" and rods were twice as long as channels being half boron and half graphite (to displace water). There are some videos on KZfaq about this topic: m.kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nq93p7d60su9hWg.html P.S. Soldier would have never shoot a woman just like that, it's not 20's. Same as when some people were threatened by armed guards in previous episodes - that's just a plain bullshit. There are a lot of small misconceptions caused by lack of cultural knowledge by authors caused some absurd scenes. E.g. they didn't explained why there is a vodka, making viewers to get back for ever-drinking Russians stereotype (and actually it was a myth that alcohol helps to clean radionuclides from the body, so soldiers were allowed to drink even there was a prohibition those years) or a doctor treating burns with milk (while they actually gave firemen milk to DRINK as there were also a myth milk can help with chemical poisoning which they believed they had). And so on...

I also suggest putting older videos on private and then creating a simple, quick video trailer to upload to KZfaq (perhaps with some clips of reactions etc. for new viewers) which informs people to check DailyMotion (or another alternative host site of choice) for the newer content, along with a brief explanation for the uninformed as to why the move is at least temporarily necessary.

The FTC thing isn't about "kid appealing" content in adult oriented vids; its about "kid appealing" content in general. Google got caught collecting data on kids and were fined for it; so to cover their butts legally in the future they are throwing creators under the bus even though its not creators collecting the data. So this is something you are going to have to deal with in your less "adult" videos as well.

The Liquidators on the roof are not necessarily going to die, and not over the next ten years as would be expected for Rads on the roof. yes they are getting Radioactive Exposure, and yes some of them might get enough to get radiation sickness, but this is several months after the incident, so the most radioactive particles have undergone several half lives, meaning hardly any of that nuclide are still in existence(highly radioactive nuclides underoes one of several forms of decay, turning it into a different and more stable nuclide of the same or a different(usually lower in table of elements) element. At that point in the incident they are no longer dealing with short lived fission products(the kind that killed Akimov and the other Reactor operators), and they are now dealing with long lived fission products that are a danger if ingested or inhaled. So accidently cutting his boot on the damaged boot is not going to automatically kill the Liquidator.

The vague rules of the FTC and COPPA affect adults reacting to a show that appeals to children. Google / KZfaq was fined heavy for child data collecting - and rightfully so. But pushing responsibility on content creators should not be the answer.

You can see the real footage of the roof cleaning here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qs9diseFq5i1omw.html The cameraman later died. Its amazing how accurately they recreated these shots in the series.

The idea that the baby absorbed the radiation, thus saving the mother, is not scientifically accurate. What made the difference between the baby and the mother is the baby's cells were actively dividing. That makes them more susceptible to damage from radiation. The mother's cells mostly were no longer dividing, so she was less susceptible.

Information is in Akima's info. KZfaq content creators need everyone's help. Please read Akima's info links and consider helping improve the pending FTC COPPA laws soon to be in effect as KZfaq creators are being affected negatively.

I would suggest you guys stop laughing, it could attract children to this video! I am sorry, I am just sarcastic but you guys removing everything you love from the background and all that is ridiculous. What the heck is going on over there with this weird law? Also other reaction channels didnt do any changes?! (yet)

It's more like the dumb agreement KZfaq signed with the FCC. KZfaq COULD do a better job of keeping kids stuff separate and monitoring what gets classified as kid friendly, but nah -- just fob that off onto the content creators and let them suffer the potential consequences.

The FTC isn't going to be going after every little thing that's kid friendly. They are drawing overly broad terms so that channels that are designed to go after the under 13 demo can't loophole their way out from punishment.

@@mykeyacosta8434 They assume all those guys are going to die right away and are being lied to when it's pretty explicitly spelled out in the show that the whole reason for them only being allowed up there for a short amount of time is so that precise thing doesn't happen. That's what I mean by not assuming things with no basis. As to commenters like you who decide to argue with someone about something they didn't even say, no I do not want them to sit there and be quiet. I did not say that nor imply it. I know reading comprehension can be hard for some people, but maybe you should read the comment a couple extra times just to be sure before you waste your time arguing against something that wasn't even stated. I'm so tired of it.

It was horrible watching your reaction over the dogs, when it was more genguine than the people. Show that you aren't that far off with the communist thinking. Care for other people first, since we created dogs and care for them. The US is becoming more and more inhuman. Very unnerving.
