I don't even have a fursuit yet. And the one that's been commissioned is a realistic style with a resin head. And yet, I still spent 13 minutes watching Stormi slowly drown his fursuit head.

This is very helpful once I get a new fursuit head, so this is a good reference video. It was also kinda funny that while watching, it looked like your fursuit head was really enjoying the bath, just because of that adorable stare and smile. I've seen similar stuff from Kiwi Fox on cleaning fursuits. I've been thinking on getting BlueFox Fursuits from the UK for my sona Delta Husky, so I'd best contact them when the time comes....Oh, and take notes of what is needed supply-wise.

Yeah i have this problem - being a primagen and all so i made the visor seperate to the furry base well- i made it removable! And then for the rest i just do immersion underwater for the visor i just get some wipes and wipe it clean!

You should of poured in the soap while it was filling with water. Helps mix it up as it fills.

It does! The go to for a while was Woolite but it unfortunately has a tendency of not cleaning the oil out of suits over time so really any basic laundry detergent should work. You don't need anything fancy. Just make sure to thoroughly rinse it all out when you're done!

I use a carpet cleaner. I'm a maker and personally I think foam heads should never be submerged because mold can be a real issue.

A good rule of thumb is after every convention! Or if you wear your suit every other day like I do, every 3-4 months! You don't need to wash fursuits that often in my experience. Sometimes a little fursuit spray is enough to keep the stank away XD
