Aren't you comparing it incorrectly with Void? Void Spark also triggers multiple times during the duration.

I might have not presented that comparison properly. The damage from the void spark triggers only 30% of the time. So it’s not that in 6 seconds you will get 6 bolts from void spark. Plus it only happens when you keep damaging the enemy. Although the attack speed buff from void is pretty nice to have. Still for conclusive results, i tested it on dummy. Stormvault damage exceeds void. I should have properly presented this part in the video.

unless I'm misunderstanding something, you're saying that Void Spark does less damage than Stormvault but it's 6 times 45%, so it's the same number as Storm Vault does (270%) and Vithuu extends the duration of Void Spark + attack speed bonus is a very good addition when you upgrade Void

@@siddgang yes but it depends on the class and/or build, if you can be in range and you do a lot of attacks (poison etc helps a lot) you always trigger the gem 6 times (+ beneficial effects) both have pros and cons but for me Void is still better unless you can't stay in combat for very long, more damage if you can + enemy can escape from Void much harder than Stormvault (+ Void has a greater chance of hitting multiple enemies, Storm except with certain combos will only hit one guy and maybe for a short time only)

Yeah and you can’t dodge Void Spark. It’s a WAY better gem. This gem is trash for anything other than PVE. Super easy to dodge as well.

@@Yanya13 yes exactly. I did mention all that in the video. Just that i thought that the total damage might be more for stormvault. But utility wise, void may still be better. That storm travels wayy too slowly.

@@jesseguertin1158 totally agree. No way i am defending this stormvault. My only point was it may have a lot of damage. But to actually proc so much damage in pvp is extremely difficult. The storm travels wayy too slow

Literally the first rift i did, dropped Stormvault as 4* 😆placed it on my gear as i was missing a gem and rly want to see how will that work in pvp but i doubt will be good as the storm effect is moving too slow

You need to use Baron to increase the duration of the storm I think. It'll be like other skills that have similar effects.

its not because you have slow that baron works, baron will extend maybe the slow duration but no impact on damage/gem duration

maybe you will extend the slow duration but you will not increase the gem duration

Looks like a freeze mage gem. But mage is monk-tier in PvP at the moment.

You kept stressing that the damage is much much higher than void spark, but it doesn't make sense to me. Void Spark: 45% base damage every second. Stormvault: 22.5% every half second. Against mostly single targets in PvP, they are identical.
