What curse is recommended?

Almost all 5 stars are trash gems. Why can't they make more interesting gems.

Do you need the essense lady at lvl4 to have zero cooldowns on skills? Im using vitus and theres still like a second cooldown on them

Your build isn't good that much Bcs: 1_You need crops to use crops lance and none of your skills or essences 2_bone armor and Grim have blind spot these don't work for mobs which is near you as VK said 3_ Grim skill took 6+ seconds to increase your max damage so it's only increase your attack 22% percent I prefer to use feelsume (or whatever) for pants essence to generate crops for crops lance For set i recommend 4 pc of issater /2 pc of urge/ and 2 pc of whatever you want

Though not the best since some classes have counters , the emperor worms helm is a pretty good cc option for corpse lance. 6 boe can and still is a really good set.

Wow, have you actually run a defense build? Echo is trash. Like you said can't block crits. Unrefined passage is arguably the best defensive 1 star, especially when comboing Battle Guard. Mossthorn is a great 2 star sub or addition for frozen or spiteful. I could go on but I don't get paid. Should really look at synergy of def gems with your off gems. reactive or counterattack gems...yeah that's defense.

I use frozen and ashes, and I aux spiteful. Of the 3, auxing spiteful made the largest noticeable difference in my survivability. I'd like to replace the ashes with a full spiteful but I'm not currently spending and the ash is 5/5 rank 7 so replacing without losing a bunch of res would be difficult right now. Barb is my primary class. I'd be interested in doing a f2p barb account using every defensive gem and focusing on armor/resistance over armor pen, could be fun!

I have an alt that is constantly being pushed to purchase. The game is really about money. That is fine but they need to try some customer service if that’s the case.

The power gap between whales and plankton is irrelevant the gap on day one was established and continued to grow throughout. There never was a point where this was going to be stabilized or compensated it is literally the business model of the game. If you’re F2P it’s about competing with yourself to see how far you can go how much you can develop your character with the resources available. This is also the comical part of the game, if your spending big bucks to go head to head with other big spenders can you really say your PvP experience was 80 thousand dollars more exciting than 2 F2P guys going head to head? You’re not getting anything extra if the other guy bought it to.😂

An update: Now they properly stated that Activity is "INCLUDING participation in Battleground and Tower War" for both tooltips: In the Profile screen and DoV details screen. I assume the TW is the Tower War that occasionally pop-up in between BG's, not the contested tower activity since it is newly added

2 years of plat f2p is about 215K platinum. A 5/5 star BSJ costs 640K plat. Even a 2/5 BSJ costs 64K. S0 good luck ranking a BSJ to even 5. And now Blizzard destroyed the market and only blue normal gems still sell for max plat on my server, some servers they are only selling for 100 plat. Good luck with that, too. As for f2p modes like Trial of the Hordes, there are no reforge stones as rewards - and we need THOUSANDS of these because of their rng nature PLUS we can now have a pve and a pvp reforge build - but how to get more of these stones has not changed. You can only get them from the hilts vendor (you will quickly go broke), from reign change (you get a token regorge) and from BG (the primary source). But to get them from BG in any quantity, you need to play their buggy laggy rubberbandy BG for hours a day where you get beat up upon by players with as high as 12K Res. NOT REALLY ENJOYABLE bcz as we all know, the matchmaking sucks. As for other game modes/pvp - let's be honest. Who needs more of those purple cursed gear stones? After you have been playing DI for a couple of weeks, you have more than you can ever use. Bogus reward, so not motivating. Yes, you only get 1 crest/week from the crest vendor from your WB voucher and 1 monthly from the hilts vendor, but they did introduce the Event Centor which gives 1 star gems aka gem power. But let's face it, with such low drop rates, almost all crests = a 1 star gem. So don't forget the like 10 gem power a month you get there. LoL. We also get 120 + 280 Fading Embers per week which are used by most to craft a purple crest (320 FE cost). That's 65 purple crests/year, just slightly more than a crest/week. And then there are the telluric fragments used to craft 1 and 2 stars. These are pretty limited tho by the number of blue crests available - not sure how many we have gotten. We can craft 1 gem power/10 Telluric fragments. Finally, 40 Telluric pearls are used to craft a 2/5 star gem of your choice. They do give more of these now, but I don't know the numbers. The first year, I crafted like 1 2/5 star. Now you can craft one about every 2.5-3 months, give or take. Honestly, this should be a guaranteed monthly craft. At 72 gem copies/rank 10 5 star (ignoring all the thousands of gem power required) and 8 slots PLUS all the inside res gems ----> even at that rate, it's 6 years to accumulate all the copies required for a single rank 10 gem. That's 50 years to rank 10 a 5 star for each gear piece. And ya, we cannot target what gems we want really. So the odds of getting a 5 star gem you want and can use is quite low. Basically I have concluded that not only is Blizz cheap, they also can't math. Not within reason. Awakening gear at r5 plus purchasing a dawning echo with plat (not orbs) is a huge improvement. Probably it is the single most significant improvement for F2P since the game was released. And ALLLLLLL this for resonance without getting into the costs and timeline of secondary gems. We basically need to bequeath our DI account to our children's children's children. It's pretty ridiculous. I stopped spending last september in a 3.2k res account. I now have 3.3K res. So yes, PLATEAU has been reached. And at that point, the game starts to become stale and stagnant. We all want to see some sort of permanent progression. But that doesn't exist really in DI.

As f2p, you need to run at least 20 alts to farm lairs to get the power of a mid spender. Same now with market crash as before. Now you farm 60% less plats by selling normal gems but the prices of legendary gems have also dropped more than 50%. It is easier now to upgrade legendary gems provided you run many alts farming lairs. Now with 20 alts, you can farm 60k plats a week and buy 2 to 3 2/5 star legendary gems per week. But very few can do this because it’s like a full time job. So I agree with what you shared in this video. Selling pets with saviour skill at super high prices when they first came out also helped f2p to rank up legendary gems. I sold 3 such pets for more than 1m plats in total at the start. Now such pets can’t even sell at 64k plats due to all whales already got them and the lack of platinum for other players. The best change is dawning echo now can be bought using plats.
