I recently found a new love for ice skating. I would dream about it when I was younger but I could never afford to go to a rink. Then a few weeks ago I finally went and it was amazing. The freedom you feel on the ice is like no other thing.

Gosh this reminds me of when i would play trombone in highschool. My entire family came down to see me play in the marching band. And right at the beginning of the show... a flag girl hits my trombone and breaks it. And i couldnt play because the slide wouldnt move!! I was so upset the entire night, and when my trombone was being repaired. But yknow, things happen. If nothing else, stories like these are fun to share :)

This story made me want to cry! I remember when I was 10 and saved up for a pink hat, and on my first outing with it, I left it on the swing at the fair. I cried for days. I can’t imagine how much more painful it would have been if I’d had to sacrifice weeks of breakfast for it! I’m glad you finally got your skates. ❤️

You probably appreciate life so much now because you grew up with nothing- I am the same way! My family was very poor, so I appreciate little things that a lot of people do not. Next time I'm in the bay area, we will go ice skating! It is like roller skating but it hurts more when you fall lol
