In regards to your question: The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse or Darkwing Duck! Great work Cyril!! Been a huge fan for well over a decade, so glad to see you still putting out great stuff. Lil Nemo holds a special place in my heart and jingle channel haha.

You forgot to mention that 9:24 is a parody of the ending of Final Fight (which Capcom released a year before Nemo) where Guy stops Cody from walking away from Jessica after she calls out to him after he rescued her from the Mad Gear Gang.

Little Nemo was one of my favorite NES games, but I had no idea an arcade version existed! Ah well - by the look of it, I played the better version.

The Little Nemo movie is based on a newspaper comic that started in 1905.

Ah, good old Little Nemo. Had a lot of fun playing it on the NES. One my faves, even if it was hard as nails. As for my favorite Capcom game based on a movie or show, I wanna say Sweet Home (Japan-only NES game based on a horror movie), but I am being coerced to say Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, a beat 'em up based on the comic Xenozoic Adventures. That will be my pick.

This game was effing hard! I couldn't get past the train stage. What made it even worse is that my copy rarely worked...even the bow technique didn't work.

Yeah, I suspect that's true of a lot of people. The movie is never mentioned in any of the magazine reviews or previews, and the film didn't even come out in America until two years after the NES game. The film also made very little money at the box office and has all but been forgotten today. Between the arcade game and the movie, I feel like this video is making people see Little Nemo in a whole new light.

One of my favorite NES games. I remember beating this game as a kid and loving the story and ending. Good memories!

Huh, knew about the NES game, thank dad for that, but didn't know they had an arcade version too. May have to check to see if MAME has it. As for you question, is one, didn't know about it through dad, but through emulators, and that is The Little Mermaid. It is hard, but pretty fun, so I'll say that.

I remember the game, the coverage of it in Nintendo Power; but not the movie.... at all. I'll have to go with Willow. It's one of my all-time favorite fantasy adventure movies anyways and that was back when Capcom would make console ports completely different from their arcades (a la Bionic Commando.) *Both* versions are fantastic. NES Willow really nicely captures the atmosphere of the movie too.

Nice, the arcade game was cool but the nes game was hard. Never saw the arcade game until emulation became a thing. Favorite capcom movie license is alien vs predator but both versions of willow (which we’ll never see ported) are right there next to it.

This was one of the first nes games I had as a kid. Super Mario Odyssey totally ripped it off! Ha ha! Despite playing the game a lot, I never got past Nemos House.

You say Nemo doesn’t want to kiss Princess Camille, well the original creator, Winsor McCay, begs to differ: media.discordapp.net/attachments/774671939058008074/779984165633654794/Nemo_and_Camille_Kiss.png And yes, Nemo is a horndog in the comics, because he’s into girls more than his movie counterpart.

No kissing is one of his rules in the game. Who knows what wild stuff he's up to in the original source material.
