I love this. I never met my biological father because I was born because my mother was raped. Her letter on the present alone made me cry. And I seen the gift. Superman outfit. Did he know she was thinking of him as her Superman. Every father, or grandfather would be honored to be called a child's Superman. It's humbling, loving, and hard to live up to. When you care about someone so much that you're willing to adopt him and raise the measure home. There's No Greater Love from a father to a child and that. The same can be said of a mother as well.

my parents adopted me at the age of 12. i was put into their custody a year prior. before that, i was bounced from foster home to group home and back. i, vividly, remember thinking i would never have a family for the rest of my life before i was rescued. you all have no idea what it means to be discarded your entire life, only to find people who love and choose you. it's the definition of unconditional love.

I adopted my son when he was 25 years old after raising him from 14 as my own. I took him out of that stupid special school and tutored him my self and soon he will have an engineering diploma to his name. When he asked me to adopt him I too cried.

Seahawk.Customs.Pc you're a father by producing a child. Dad's stick around and raise their kids like they are supposed to do. A dad is there all the time for the kiddos. Fathers pay child support and drop by once a blue moon (if their lucky) to see what they produced. They even have billboards that state "any man can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad"

I have a 9 year old son with autism. I've been married to my wife for 15 years now. I get my son up every morning, get his clothes, get his breakfast, stand at the bus stop with him. I'm there every afternoon to get him. He tells me every morning when the bus comes "I love you daddy and will miss you" Even though my wife and I have our ups and downs we have stuck together and raised 4 boys. My oldest is 17 and has a scholarship to UVA. Do I want a cookie? No I don't but my #1 dad wallet I've had for years and is falling apart will never leave my back pocket. This is what dad's do, you make em you take care of them. You see all these assholes that will stick their dicks in anything that moves and make a baby then take off. Now you have a mom in section 8 with a baby while you're off to tag the next one. That is a father.

Hannah's now official step dad was raising her anyway. She didn't need anything from him. But to put it on paper. To probably take his family name. That's a sign of respect and appreciation. My step daughter was at a rich person's house when she was in the eighth grade with my ex wife and asked my ex wife, "mom, why couldn't you have married somebody like this?". Well, a few years later her mom asked for a divorce the day after my dad died...then two months after the divorce (she scored $250k plus child support for my son) she married a "filthy rich" guy (her words) two months after the divorce...and I have seen my step daughter probably less than a full 24 hours total in two years.

My step daughter was forced to call everyone else when something good happened when she was growing up...her dad (which I had no problem with...her mom told her not to call him dad)...or another rich guy that my ex was with before I was married. So, she was forced to like everyone else but me. Now that she is in college, she will not come over. I was told by the ex that the step daughter will contact me if she needs anything...so far, very little contact.

This gives me so much hope to be a good father for my future family. My dad raised all of my siblings but didnt want anything to do with me pretty much since i was born. Im thankful for my stern and loving mother that raised the shit out of me and wasnt afraid to slap the silly out of me when i did something wrong. This video is so special. @@Wonton422 actually he is kind of right,my father and mother broke up when i was at a very young age but this wasnt due to abuse,alcoholism etc, it was just that they didnt love eachother anymore, now my father loves me,cares for me and does everything in his power for me and same with my mam,now my mother is engaged with another man and while we have great times etc,i dont and will not consider him my father,just a step father but i dont even think of him like that sometimes, i just see him as that funny uncle or something of the sort, so by what he was saying he is kind of correct it just matters under circumstances and how u feel yourself
