Just finished my straight box truck in cargo sleeper for expedited trucking. Built it in a 26ft box on a Freightliner M2. Inside dimensions are 48x90x80.
Here is what I used to seal between the cab and the box -- www.accordionboot.com

Wayne - you will not find any laws that say this is legal however, if you follow the specific requirements of a sleeper can you will not have any trouble. We have had various dot inspections at the weigh station and no issues whatsoever.

I am wondering if the truck is 26ft how many feet will be lost after converted.? May be 2ft or 3ft. Then 26ft truck become 22ft or 24ft. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I converted 4 ft of space so I can carry up to 22ft. 10 standard pallets. Same as a 24 ft.

@@backyardhandyman4965 thanks for respond. The standard of my client is truck must be 26ft to fit 12pallets. But , I got another option that I am considering to trade a 26ft extended cab truck and after convertion I may loose about 1 foot and still I can pick up 12 pallets.

I used a rubber boot seal. You can google it and find some vendors. It’s the same thing you see on combination buses.

Make shure you tell viewrs thats not DOT soeeper birth. No exit door for emergency. Also comingling whith cargo. But thats cool for off dutty sleep.

Yes, I would not recommend for team we just use this to sleep for the solo driver. With that being said it does not require an emergency exit as long as there is unobstructed access to the cab. Also per DOT regulation you CAN have an in cargo sleeper as long it is compartmentalized from the cargo with a bulk head.

It’s called a accordion boot seal

Good job. But. The next one should definitely be a Big Hole. Reclining driver and passenger seats. worst thing about those cabs. You're required to sit strait up. 👎. I think the back of the cab was already configured to remove that back wall as one piece. but its still a good idea.
