Really did not like this lady...pushing him with the same question but phrased a little different....wanting him to apologize. It was 11:00 and the children should not have been up! He is absolutely correct...he is a performer not a babysitter! Parents need to start parenting, it is the late night shows that sometimes get riskier for kids so do your job and tivo it then let them see it if you think it is ok. Bet he is as tired as I am of hearing people ask about that one performance with so many others doing their own sexy...risky moves on tv. Adam...just do your thing...if they only knew your career would lead you to front for Queen and have your own successful tours... Love it! You are amazing!

I think Adam was 100% correct. I cheer him on. He is a great talent and I think he will do awesome.

There is a lot of talk about "the children" and what's appropriate. People are saying they hate him because he kissed a guy on TV. lol Those people hated him anyway, just because he's GAY! All this is about him being gay. People are just talking shit and making other excuses but the truth is, those people were never his fans in the first place. They're just homophobes who love finding reasons to hate gays. If I was Adam, I wouldn't sweat it. His fans probably LOVED IT!

In their introduction to the interview here, they showed Adam's kiss and blurred it out so you couldn't see anything, yet they showed fully both of Madonna's lesbian kisses. This was on the CBS early show. It doesn't really matter where the original acts took place. CBS chose to censor Adam's gay kiss, but not Madonna's lesbian kiss shown within seconds of each other on a Tuesday morning. DOUBLE STANDARD

Wow - good for Adam for sticking to his guns in the face of her ridiculous baiting questions. CBS proved his points by pixelating the pics of the m/m kiss and not the Madonna/Britney kiss. People may not explicitly SAY it's because he's a gay male, but there's no question that that's what is behind most of the outrage.

So they blur Adam kissing Tommy but they don't blur Madonna kissing Britney!

It's not necessarily the sound of rock and roll music that Adam is pushing with his album, but the "rock and roll" attitude. I think that's kind of cool.

Honestly I think Adam is an amazing artist, and him pushing the envolop and being himself is part of what makes him amazing. On top of that he is right, and it is definatly a double standard. I don't think I know anyone who would let their young childern watch music awards or anything, really, that late at night. I support him and everything he has done, even the things that others find 'wrong'. But then again I'm very open-minded and a huge fan of Adam!

I don't condone the sexual acts on stage, but it's not like he's the first to do this kind of stuff. Adam is a very talented artist and a great performer and I agree there is a double standard. Look no further than the fact that the kiss between him and his key boardest was blurred and the kiss between Madonna, Brit, and Christina was not. I hate to say it but I do believe it comes down to homophobia.

the issue here is Adam is gay and he sang "Change Gonna Come" (at the request of Idol, to guarantee he wouldn't win !!!!!) - they blackballed Adam in the States for bringing back all those memories of the Civil War, you know, when African Americans were being bought and sold cheaper than a good cow, and then to be GAY on top of that !!! I just don't see What the problem was. How can people make a problem out of that. And they can show the female performers do this stuff , but when a guy does it, this happens.And what's wrong with this lady trying to push him to apologize. So happy Adam was brave enough to stand his ground. Hopefully things have moved forward massively since then.I did not see this when it happened. Well, the idea of broadcast tv is strict regulations keeping "smut" off TV screens, thus the birth of Cable, and MTV (which was originally Rock Videos 4 hrs a day, 24 on the week-ends) and HBO, to have the freedom to broadcast more risque shows. Maybe all awards shows should be on Cable tv, then it's a free for all as far as I'm concerned.

IF anyone paid attention to all the media hype, ABC blurred out what was considered offensive, not CBS. They got what ABC released to them. Guy on guy kiss started on network TV NBC on the show "Will and Grace" and now ABC is now airing the same on "Brothers and Sisters" with gay male couple. I don't watch "Dancing with the Stars" or any of that garbage, but from what I understand, the crotch area is a popular move on those shows.. Must not be worth a fine from FCC...

Double standard is as you just stated. It is ok for girls but not for guys. I'm far from gay, but guys kissing started way back on Will and Grace. Groping started with MJ. Showing off butt crack with hip-hop. I expect that from entertainment and the music industry. The simulating oral sex on TV is where I draw the line. I know this is an old video and thing have come a long way,, except lately things are taking a step back. What I find funny is they have him performing for your entertainment and were surprised it was a bit sexual, did they even listen to the song?! there wasnt a fuss for the other performers because what adam did was unplanned and just outragous. It was planned for them to do their moves, but adam got "caught up in the moment" supposedly! So they didnt react to the other performers because they forgot all about what they did and only remembered adams performance because his was the worst.

i think it was over the line. I mean, it might have been 11 in new york, but in the south it was 9, and pretty much kids over the age of 7, would be up, most likely watching tv with their parents.
