This is the guitar tab for my cover of Stranger in a Strange Land by Iron Maiden. It is a note for note transcription of the original.
I started by separating the original Stranger in a Strange Land track into drums/bass/guitar/vocal. I then painstakingly transcribed all the parts note for note, and replayed them (except for the drums). I then went into the recording booth and sang the song.
The drums were played by Nicko McBrain.
All Guitars, Bass, Keys, and Vocals by Abraham Myers (Me).
I would like to thank everyone for watching, and for all your support over the last two and a half years. I truly appreciate it.
Stranger in a Strange Land was written by Adrian Smith, and was first recorded on Iron Maiden's 1986 album: Somewhere in Time.
The Equipment used in this recording is as follows:
Slate ML1 Microphone
The software is Cubase Pro.
The audio interface is an Axe IO
The Bass sound was created with a Sire V7, straight into the Axe.
The Guitars are an Ibanez RRX24, and a Fender Stratocaster straight into the Axe. Amplitube 5 was used for amp emulation.
All vocals were recorded with the Slate ML1
Ozone 9 was used for mastering.
The video, and the recording, were produced by Abraham Myers.

@@ThePickingPythagorean shit I been listening to iron maiden since I was a kid. Im 33. My dad grew up listening to them. I love the caught somewhere in time album. One of my favorites. And I'm learning how to play this song and caught somewhere in time. This helped me get further into the actual right way to play it.

Love this, mate. Trerrific cover and beautifully played (and sung) ... I've used this (and the bass video too) to learn the track. Could you please tell me how you got the isolated drums into your recording?

Thank you so much Jim!!! I really appreciate it. I used Melody ML. It's an online track splitter. So, it will separate the tracks, Drums, Bass, Other, and Vocal. I think it's like fifty cents a song or something. There is also a site called Lalalai, and that site does the same thing, but you can isolate just electric or acoustic guitars, but it's more expensive. It doesn't work perfect. Better for drums and bass than guitar, but if you're looking for a Maiden drums track, and you want the original, it's the way to go.

Cheers Abraham. I’ve found Moises, which cost me £35 for the year and which has done a cracking job. I’ve left the vocals in because I can’t sing 🤣 Would you mind telling me which video editor and DAW you used please?

Hahahaha.....it' not as hard as you think. Slow it down and watch it a few times. If you can play it slow you can play it fast eventually. I slowed it to fifty percent to learn it and just gradually sped it up. Seems overwhelming at full speed.
