I always find you use distortion over the top, but it just hit me in this video, that despite this, it never really sounds bad. It still sounds clean and never overly harsh, or 'digital' in nature. Certainly not like a nasty clipping, type sound. Serum did a great job on its distortion algorithms.

the tide is my fav noisia track, real game changer and still sounds fresh after 15 years, amazingly well produced even by modern standards. it's also the 1st vision recordings release. if you revisit noisia in a bass tutorial in future there are some mental sounds in exodus, block control, believe... they've been at the cutting edge of neuro sound design from the mid 2000s til the present and really helped define the sound of that era, call it the 2nd wave of neurofunk if you will. if you're interested in where *they* got their inspiration from it was mainly konflict, cause4concern, bad company, ed rush & optical, stakka & skynet... lots of good bass design in there. good shit anyway man
