Keep Creeping Forward: The Chinese Territory-Grabbing Trick

It’s a Chinese ploy that’s six decades old but still in practice. And it has to do with deceit. Their creeping advances began in the mid- and late-1950s and, by the 1962 war, China had occupied major parts of Aksai Chin. If they had intruded a foot, they readily agreed to recede an inch as part of diplomatic negotiations. The ‘salami slicing’ tack that was replicated in the South China Sea as well in 2008-09 continues to date, even in times of the pandemic! In Ladakh, they did it with impunity for several years, inch by inch, till India ramped up its border infrastructure to keep an eye on their movements. The road extending up to Daulat Beg Oldie that was completed by India last year irked the Chinese no end. Does the history of China’s deception have a bearing on the current standoff in Ladakh that’s been on for over a month now? So what has stopped the Indian army to do the same type of salami slicing at advantageous sections of the line border . All we have been doing is calling “ foul play “ and not following up by grabbing land the same way …. It’s been 70 years of complaint yet nothing has been done

For all the talk from Modi & Jaishankar, India does not have the ability to take on the Chinese. And the Chinese are well aware of this. The most shameful part is that we do a $100 + Billion Trade with China.

What different between India and China is that China was once a country which size was equal to UP state. Now, after grabbing many countries and Indian territories, it's now China double of India by size. In other hand, India Indian territories lost to China and Pakistan.

The chinese land grabbing techniques is working very well against india. The latest land grab at ladakh in 2020 is a fine example. But i still cannot recover from Modi’s shocking statements that no indian land lost.🤦🏼

Foreign policy under BJP was a disaster to provoke the Chinese with unnecessary boosted Hindutva patriotism. Hope India will be aware both Chinese and Indian army have evolved since 1962.
