Ember and her parents had a lot of fun strawberry picking on Canada Day 2021 at Compton's farm on Summerside, PEI, Canada.
It was a day well spent. They got a lot of work done, filling up two baskets with strawberries.
Ember didn't mind the bending and searching for grown strawberry. She surely love the fruit.
The Compton's U-Pick strawberry farm is located on Decker Road in Summerside.
There is no charge admission fee.
The farm also sells strawberries at their main location at 268 All Weather Highway in Summerside.
It's $40 per flat and $5.50 per quart box.
The Compton's Farm has been in business since 1957.
After 30 minutes of picking, Ember managed to haul 2.6 pounds and paid $7.
Before they could consume the strawberries, they needed to wash them.
To make strawberries last longer, it is advisable to soak the strawberries in bowl with 1 cup of vinegar and 3 cups of water for 10 to 15 minutes.
