Why the tlr9 over a tlr1? Even more, why either over a pl-Valkyrie.. 500 more lumens and looks better.

Just got my TLR-7A and I have to say it is by far the best switch mechanism I’ve ever used. No grip shifting to activate the light at all, with a thumbs forward grip it lands right on the high switch. Also, it mounts very compact so even on a gun like the P320 XCompact where many other lights either don’t fit or hang off the front and just don’t fit well on the platform, the TLR-7A/TLR-8A works flawlessly.

Thank you sir! I have been looking at the tlr's for a pistol light but thought some were kinda bulky. This is a nice option. If safariland ends up making an owb AlS holster for this I'm getting one! Great pricepoint!

I heard online the tlr-9 fits the same holster as the tlr-1. I ordered the 6360 holster from Safariland and it will be here on Thursday it says. So I’ll let you know what happens haha

Hey not sure if you still check this but just wanted to let you know the tlr-9 fits the tlr-1 holster from Safariland. Mine just came in the mail and it’s a perfect fit.

Me likey these new lights! I just sold my older TLR7 so I can upgrade to the 7A! I'm kinda disappointed that they made us buy a whole new light just to change the switches, cause when the TLR7 first came out, it was supposed to be able to have interchangeable switches, but instead they decided to hit us in the pocketbook for the improvement...

1.5mm doesn't seem like a significant width gain given the loss of value with the lack of 18650 support.

CR123 batteries are just as readily available as 18650. Tho you wont find them in vape shops, you will find them in every Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Best Buy, Walgreens, Advanced Auto Parts, Sam’s Club, etc, and ANY store that sells camera batteries. Not to mention CR123 batteries are much lighter than 18650’s....which means a lot for a carry pistol. You can buy a pack of 10 CR123 lithium batteries from Home Depot for $30.

What is the blue gun model with the tlr9 ? glock 17 or 19 ? i’m wondering if it’s gonna be too long looking on a 19

TLR-9 is meant for 5 inch barrel handguns like the M&P longslides, 1911s, and Glock 34/35/40/41

How is this an improvement to the TLR-1?!? It’s extremely long, and less bright... I like Streamlight and have several flashlights and weapon lights, but this seems like a swing and a miss..
