I personally follow your idea that “all the overlays may take away from the video experience” which is why My favorite thing to do is to create scenes with the weirdest backgrounds for streams, it’s crazy the amount of assets you can pull in and that vertical plug in from master Senpai is a must to save some time in Davinci editing your shorts. Im personally still very new to the idea of editing let alone editing down streams so maybe we could get a “how to understand editing” from a certain somebody? I've been using OBS just to display my Switch game on screen and was streaming via Twitch Studio, but it really slowed down my PC. Fortunately, your explanation on how to set this up seems like a significant improvement. Thanks for this video!

To anyone struggling with the chatbox pretty much being black, make sure your chat is above what your displaying when you look at sources. Having something like let's say game capture will overlay it if you don't have the chat above it

Thank you for this! Adding the chat is just super unintuitive, I would have never guessed how it worked. Twitch Studio had that built in, among other things, but it was sadly discontinued last week. So I‘m now trying to figure this all out. So far audio settings are my worst enemy, haha

Hilarious I thought I deleted all my sources and audio mixers when i was drunk last night and so I started watching this to figure out how to set it all up again. When you told me to go to scene collection I saw something called untitled and I clicked on it. Everything showed up again and nothing was deleted lmao.

I'm considering purchasing a PC but I'm unsure if it's worth the investment. My main goal is not to make money, but rather to create something amazing and interact with people. Currently, I'm limited to making content on a console and believe that getting a PC would serve as an upgrade. Should I go ahead and purchase a PC for content creation? Do you think it will be beneficial in the long run if I invest time and have a passion for it? It would be appreciated if you replied 🙂.

Here's a question that I haven't seen be answered, not at least on my search, and maybe you can make a video out of: How should you set up OBS if you have different games you want to stream? And I don't mean simultaneously having different games on, just playing game A for a few hours, then game B. Is it better to have one scene collection with all the different scenes for the games? Or is it better to have a different scene collection for each game? 'Cause frankly, I'm doing the former, and my stream alerts source isn't working at times, but I've made a new scene collection just solely for testing the alert box, and it works everytime.

Good video. Still don't understand alerts though. How can I click save when there's nowhere to click? Is it just locked because I haven't streamed yet? That seems unintuitive. Maybe the video on the alerts themselves will help more

I am having an issue with my videos I record! Seems like if I record and long video almost at least 3 or 4 times in that video for about 20 seconds my audio gets real choppy n laggy from the desktop audio & then it goes back fine. Everything else is okay but that lag from desktop audio, any suggestions?

This was very helpfull and covered a lot but omg it feels way too fast, I'm struggling to keep up watching where the mouse goes whilst listening as you go "now just tap tap tap, there that, here now, drag this, woosh switch 3 windows, tap tap tap" might have to rewatch that on 0.5 speed .-.
