It's the kind of thing that lets him stand out from Balrog and Dudley. I know for an SF game idea I've had, I'd thought of Mike, the first boxer in Street Fighter from way back in Street Fighter 1, would use a projectile as a move to give him some different range from Balrog and Dudley, yet he wouldn't have the kind of range Ed can have with his Psycho Power.

I won't say Dash Straight and Final Tap had limited range at all. But Ed compensate for himself.

@@almiser Dash Straight, Dash Upper, Dash Low Straight, Dash Swing Blow, Dash Low Smash, and Turn Punch did give Balrog some forward mobility in some sitches, even if he was more or less about just power in his blows.

​@@wyndelion4437, when Ed was revealed in Street Fighter 5 his design and weird inputs turned off a lot of people to his character. I didn't mean that the character was bad by any stretch of the imagination in fact I think he was really fun to play but his Street Fighter 5 design was a major turnoff for a lot of people

Theme song is great both with lyrics and without but I actually prefer the instrumental one, as it's just like the songs I use for when I'm actually boxing and going into training. Hopefully Capcom gives us a choice between instrumental and vocal

@@2Good2BeTrue45 Yeah, and I hope this instrumental version is similar to the Teaser Trailer version in particular where the guitar and synths are more prominent. They are toned down in here and in the vocal version to make room for the vocals after all.

not really. His stance more resembles the Philly Shell. For reference check out boxers like used Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns, Floyd Mayweather, or in anime, Mashiba Ryo where its called the Hitman Stance after Hearns.

Ryo's stance and Hearns' stances are actually called the Hitman Stance. The one who actually uses the Philly shell would be Miyata and also Kumura if I remember correctly. @@GerardoSantana

i love Dudley too, it would be sick if he uses the Dempsey Roll... I know too much references to Hajime no Ippo but Ed covers a lot of boxing moves so clean

@@joseangelcanalesgarcia560 even though they would be similar in terms of fighting, I think dudelys clean and sharp way of fighting would translate like fine wine on sf6, and I think both of them could exist together in this game, could you imagine an ed vs dudely? It's not an OS, an option select is not just you having options to beat things. You'd have to check to know that there's an OS, an OS is a combination of inputs that will automatically chose the right move in a given situation.

Again and this time please read carefully: An option select is a combination of inputs that automatically selects the correct move in a given situation, keyword being automatically. You being able to choose what to do depending on what the opponent does is not an option select. If you could input the move a certain way that gave you either snatcher if the opponent stayed away or backed away automatically when the opponent attacked this would be an option select. What you are describing is just having options, not an OS

If his low hitting flicker is DR cancellable then nah, it may actually be even better for Ed since it’s got the flicker reach.
