Quick Trivia from a German: If you would have told me that Blumio of all people would work on a Street Fighter Song in the future, I would have called you insane! Hearing him on this track is an absolutely pleasant surprise. He's a German-Japanese Rapper who has been fairly successful & widely known for his style of Concious Rap, presented on a bunch of singles and albums that wittily tackled social problems & got released around the beginning of the 2010s. After that, he pretty much went under the radar, reaching nostalgia status for many people as time went by.

You can tell they put a lot of effort into the lyrics. The word choice feels natural, including the occasional use of casual English which is common enough that it doesn't look out of place. I also like that they tell a story of how Ed grew as a person, overcame frustrations, understood people's motivations, learned to forgive, figured out what he wanted to do, holding on to memories of his past as a reminder that the key is to keep moving forward, going so far as to encourage others to believe in themselves in the same way. The sum of its parts isn't complex, but that's exactly why it's so effective.

Don’t get me wrong. I fuckn love Luke as a character. His look and personality has vastly improved in sf6. But if anyone should be the new lead character it’s definitely Ed. He was Trained by Balrog, one the OG Sf characters. He’s connected to the biggest big bad of street fighter. It’s hinted that he’s struggling to to not lose himself to his power and become like Bison (Much like Ryus struggles with the dark Hadou and Akuma). On top of that, his appearance and fighting style just SCREAMS protagonist lol. I genuinely love Luke but he feels more like a super likable supporting character. Ed just has more groundwork laid to be the lead than Luke does

Wow this is not just Eds best theme by far but one of the greatest SF character themes ever. Just incredible and unique in every way and fits Ed to a tee. I love that its in German too just an unbelievably cool touch.
