By the late 90s, after MvC1, i believe Capcom lost its position as a fg ost superpower. Even though there are good things in CvS2, their music production became much less consistent compared to the early 90s up to MvC1 (1998). So it was up to Arika to make SF ost great again in these SF EX games. I think these osts are more in line with the feel of classic SF osts, that are very well represented by SSF2 (of course) and SFA2.

@@carlosaugusto9821 yeah i would agree with you on this, the more time passes the less good music there is. Sf 4 had some ok tracks but nothing special, 5 has the G theme and maybe one or two more but that's it.

Please try this same game, but maniac mode: At the main menu, highlight the "Practice" selection and press Select(5), Left, Select(5), Down, Select(3), Down, Select, Right, Select, Down, Select(4) to unlock the "Maniac mode" option on the practice menu.

So glad Ex is getting some love. I do the Ex trials for fun , i love it so much. And for some extra challenge, i would do each character's trial before their stage music would end.

I really do want to thank Justin. Not only for playing SFEX2+ that day (I got in the stream just in time, imagine). But for all the other content too. Your videos are fun, entertaining, and sometimes even educative lol. Both here and on Twitch, your content is top level, from a top level FGC player. Thank you ^_^ Now, onto the lame stuff: Commenting a lame fighting game pun/joke every day until Justin does the SFEX+α Taru and SFEX3 trials. (Notice I've stopped asking for SFEX2+ since this got streamed a while ago lol) Day 61: I'm surprised Bison's Devil Reverse move isn't called "Psycho -PSYCHE!"

Maybe capcom and arika can come to a mutual agreement and make another one! Fighting EX Layer sold pretty well so hopefully they can make one to give us the nostalgia we crave!

Capcom already included several free Ex Layer skins into SFV (Cammy as Blair, Ryu as Hayate, etc). So the relationship is there. I’d love for them to at least re-release the old games. And then try a possible SFEX4 made by Arika.

This is my favorite playstation street fighter game. I spent so many hours on ex2. I completed all the trials many times. I loved how some of the traditional moves for some of the well known fighters had little changes.

Bison II's pretty much the game's secret boss. Has unlimited Super meter, does more damage than normal Bison, and has two new versions of the Psycho Cannon Super (a green seeker and the twin version).

Great video as usual, Justin. I saw this live on stream a while ago and your execution was quite good. I am with this user that requested EX2+ though, you really need to do the EX3 trials. There's only ONE video of it online, so you would be the first one to actually do it on stream.

After you complete the combo list, an option to do an S rank combo is enabled. Basically you need to do a 100% damage combo with each character. And shows a video demonstration of how each character managed to achieve this combo. The most beautiful combos I found were Garuda and Chun Li...

You defeated Bison II fast, I remembered him more difficult XDD The trial that I remember the most is the one with Vega, you had to keep the opponent in the air for I don't know how long XD

I love sfex2. Can we be honest. The ps1 overall has the greatest fighting game lineup of any system. You should do a tier list on systems fighting game lineups. Ps1 is God Tier.

Arika was founded by the mastermind devs of SF2, the ones that left Capcom, so that's correct. Actually by the late 90s they were much ahead of Capcom in making fgs with 3d graphics with the feel of classic 2d fgs.

Can also has a loop after Shippu gets canceled where he can do a jumping Hard Punch into tatsumaki I believe and it builds enough meter almost for another Super. Should you have enough meter you can combo multiple shippu jinrai together using this.

People wouldn't like a SF EX4 nowadays, because Arika is a fg maker that keeps an arcade mindset, but that arcade feel isn't meaningful anymore. Even Capcom stopped making fgs with that mindset since CvS2, because the current playerbase (the most part) won't connect with it for being young. Big fg companies don't see us, hardcore fg uncles from the 90s era, as the priority.

The EX games are unfortunately underrated. I had a LOT of fun with all three. Chaining supers, easy inputs, and great soundtrack and roster. I wish there was an Ex4, and Fighting Ex Layer is still too expensive.
