1:13 bruh always spend the meter there. More damage and a reset after, plus you'll get enough meter like 80% of the time

If you're really cool you can get a kara lp hayate after ex hayate in the corner for the knockdown and more damage, so all the more reason to spend the meter

Because as good as this match was, you can see the flaws that would never happen in top 8. Makoto has less than 10% health and you keep jumping toward her, instead of keeping her away from mid screen? That's a scrub mistake.

It was a tough hearing commentators calling 3:54 a ballsy meaty and a wacky exchange. Akuma made the correct decision, he can 100% always abuse makoto’s wakeup with meaties when she has no meter, she has no quick startup non-ex shoryu so she can’t do shit in this scenario but block. Akuma wasn’t taking a risk there in the slightest, Makoto made a mistake. That and at 6:16 them not knowing that low forward fireball super doesn’t combo without the proper timing/fireball button/distance (which is why just low forward super is probably a better low hit confirm) bothered me, seems like they don’t know this game very well
