I think I've watched all of the outtakes videos from Pete's sketches/parodies, and NOBODY makes him break like Thomas. It's almost like Thomas doesn't even need to try, he's so freaking natural at being spontaneously funny!

The problem I think with most of Pete's sketches, is that, theres so much hilarious physical comedy with guys like Middleditch, but Pete just can't hold it together, making them put the weaker scenes (which are still funny, but weaker regardless) into the final draft of the sketches

First saw these (and the Ex-Men and Batman) years ago when I was still in college, but never even knew the outtakes were just floating out here like that. The fact they have to dial these back to make them LESS funny just so the actors can make it through a take is sending tf outta me

Pete Holmes HEY! Stop your HBO show... I know this is a futile attempt but it's not good. Truly a disappointment for a show about comedy it's not funny. It's as insightful as cataracts and as compelling as chimpanzee flinging shit. Thomas has his successful show... don't bandwagon with your garbage because you ruin the ride for everyone. I don't get the mashed potato boy bit but I think it was just them being like on completely the same level, y'know? Like playing the same skit in their heads. Happened to me once, a guy started describing Tucker & Dale Vs Evil to me and I couldn't stop laughing after 3 seconds before he even finished because I immediately just imagined the whole scene.
