Here is the first trick on my street magic video and the tutorial on how to do it! Enjoy and post a video response of a reaction you get from using this! ;-)

So this is basically a two card Montey trick. I know people are saying it look obvious but when you perform it to spectators they are usually focused on the cards in their hand, and if your good at diverting attention away from your hands, people rarely see the switch, at least from experience. Nice Tutorial!

I just want to put my 2 cents on this trick. It's a great little street magic trick and ultimately it's all misdirection. This isn't the only way to do the trick. There are other sleight of hand methods. Ultimately, it breaks down to how good your misdirection is. This is an amazing trick when done right. Kudos to the poster for being brave enough to show the hands only.

Just wanted to say "thank you". So few "magicians" recognize that there is a difference between "simple principle" and "simple execution". You point this out early and should be commended for it. There are no "easy" magic tricks. They all require time and dedication prior to public performance. Thank you.

i already knew this trick,i've also seen it performed by david blaine too in his street magic special and this is a killer effect...you have done a great performance too and a great tutorial also...nice job man!!!

I have always been fascinated by the amount of "wannabe" glurge that magic postings on KZfaq attract. It had almost become s universal truth that if you get highly personal criticism of your video you must be doing something right. Such is the case here. You have presented an easily understood tutorial video. Nice work.

@jtibo1 great switch...ive performed this trick to a lot of friends family and just random people but the card switch is the hardest part for me not to get noticed im going to try your way in switching it seems a little slicker and smoother

simple yet amazing trick, thank you so much (:

Suggestion, hand over hand shuffle just before you ask them to turn the 2 cards over. This way you'll be able to say they're buried in the deck s/where, OR control the 2 cards to the bottom which would be awesome too! Almost like 2 tricks in one that way ;)

TIP...instead of doing a strange looking triple lift you can put one of the black aces on bottom of the deck. There is MORE than ample misdirection to do a BOTTOM change instead of a top change. This way you could do a more natural looking double lift vs. a triple. Just a thought.
@Dreahyhv10 жыл бұрын
That Was cool. I showed it to a live a Audience and they loved it
@FlockofSmeagles12 жыл бұрын
The top change is simple. as you take the card move in closer to the spectator to engage there attention, and move back to disengage them so they feel more at ease. That's when they let there guard down, and that's when you make the switch.

can you do the tutorial for the other card trick that you have done in the street magic video?
@TnTyson8112 жыл бұрын
You could do with lifting a single the same way you do your triple as it's quite a give away to a muggle with half an idea. Like you said to do a top change the way you do it's all about the misdirection. There are better ways to do it but yours is probably the simplest for beginners.

@jtCardMagic13 жыл бұрын
awesome trick, though for the top change i have a method i use to hide it a bit better, when you have the card pushed off slightly ready for your change, instead of sliding the queen on top slide it under then before taking the ace off leave the cards as they stand for a second and with your finger point at the cards and explain the next step this not only distracts them but if they did see the card slide under you distract them and by the time you take the ace from the top they will not remembr

It's actually called "Two Card Monte", if anyone wanted to know. Mostly seen and made famous by David Blaine. Since people don't know how to give credit where it's due...

the last slight of hand was obvious, but if the table wouldnt have been there, the sleight would have been easier to hide.
@ainevek12 жыл бұрын
The way I switch the secnd time is less obvious: Angle the cards like a 45 degrees upwards, rght behind the double lift, while handing the first card, use your thumb to slide back the top card (here the queen) and push it bck. Then when you take bck the other queen do the same thus giving him the third card (the ace) but with the angle the cards are held, this looks like the first. While handing him that card, use your little finger to push the queens bck on top.

i was expecting the queen on top since i thought he did a double lift and not a triple one. Still an easy trick to figure out. And even though the switch was way too ovious, the triple lift had a nice ending

I've done this trick to my friends and they do not notice when i switch the cards. It is just easier to see now when his hands are the only things you see. When you are doing it for real to other people you just misdirect them by pointing to their card then ask them what they have. When they are looking their card you pointed at then they dont even see you swap cards
