I wouldn't. Most of the time they don't even add a gasket to the engine (Which currently I'm without due to thinking I'm getting a cheap price on repairs) But they make sure you keep coming back. Never will I trust a street mechanic, these are dirty filthy mechanics (South Africa, Cape Town)

Good job! Although you can find people all over the US doing this, too. I have removed engines with no hoist and minimal tools in junkyards. And a little 3 cyl. like that, I have changed without a hoist at home, even though I have one here. A geo metro 3 cyl hardly justifies messing with a hoist. People who don't fix their own cars have little idea how much work people do to keep their junk going. I am in PA...if this is needed in January, that I when I do it. Outside. And never with any help. It gets old.

they probably do a better job than the local mechanic that did my rotors. I also had a guy use the wrong tool to pry open and drain my oil now it's damaged and very difficult to open. Funny story the guy that did my rotors had a spotless clean garage with zero customers and tools hanging on the wall. They say to watch out for mechanics like that because real mechanics are lined up busy and have more shit laying around due to the demand for a trustworthy mechanic and long wait time before they get to your vehicle inspection. The guy that did my rotors took me in same day at any time availability and fucked up my car.
