No food in the fridge? Well, The curbside can feed you in scrap metal and in turn, fill your fridge.
This is a challenge to see how much money I can make just from picking up scrap steel in a few short hours, take it to the scrap yard and cash it in to buy food.
Many people are sometime in the situation where they are short on money and the fridge is empty, This challenge is just to show you that it is possible to get a feed if your willing to go out looking.
It felt like just 1.5 hours but it was more like 3.5 hours in the end.

Scrapping pays for me to go to polytech/college. It covers my fuel and food costs. I make about $40-$50 a week, its not much, but it's better than nothing.

I'm a college student and I do the same, even though I have a job and work, I still scrap when I have the chance to do it. Its a nice bit of extra money to cover alot of the small stuff as well as books.

You should try fixing some of the electronics, because usually they have a very simple issue or a broken part which can be repaired easily.

Have an idea. How about collecting all the scrap wood and making a lot of biochar for a garden. Innoculate & season the biochar & plant tons of food. That is if you have a big backyard, not in a scrap metal mood & just want to go do something different.

Love the challenge Ben i started Kerbcycle off my passion to kerb and recyle and upcycle and keep out of land fill and when i got my first rental on my own i kerbed everything bar my couch and my bed all on kerb and u wouldn't know it came from kerbside in brisbane cbd Love your info and videos better than whatching free to air TV Cheers chrisco from brisbane

Around here, there is free bread on almost every corner. Evey community organization and church has it. Also, there is at least one place to get a hot cooked free meal every day. A person would have to try hard to starve. I live in a major city in Kentucky.

I knew that you wouldn't be able to resist certain items. LOL. You may be able to do what I did for my cell phone and buy a porcelain drawer pull handle for a little over a dollar and then glue it on with clear Gorilla glue. It draws the heat out. I hope that this helps you.

The huge lamps for flood lights, the yellow one are brass for sure and the silver colored one I think are white brass, I always do the yellow ones for sure because it only takes a minute, just saying mate.

Like your videos. You should weld a metal grill inside, front of th me rear window to protect a bit. It won’t block view backwards.

How often is this put out for collection? If we put things out on the curb like this they would grow roots. Our trash people only pick up once a week and absolutely nothing unless it's in our can.

I Like the Mercedes, a car where you can actually see somebody worked with. I would not switch it off too much just for Sound Quality, because it is a Diesel let it run.

LOL! I can Ben doesn't work on cars. at 36:55 he picks up inner and outer tie rod ends that steer the auto and calls them shockers because the bellow boots are still on them. Not making fun of you Ben your video's are great.

That was an air compressor for A/C not an alternator. But still some good weight.

Also not a radiator it was a condenser, when Freon is compressed it turns to a gas the condenser cools it back to a liquid...

Those mercedes sprinter vans atleast here in the us are the same as Dodge most of the parts say dodge on them. And you are right you can order them through the dodge dealer and they are a fraction of the price as mercedes parts

The kids must not be very hungry judging by a lot of the scrap you left behind. If there is no food in fridge and my kids are hungry/starving, every piece of scrap I came across would've been in the van. Love the vids tho.
