We are the Pacific Northwest Branch of STREETBEEFS. Im Firechicken, i run this branch. Ive been involved with STREETBEEFS since 2016, i flew to Virginia and fought 2 times in late 2018. Our group here merged with STREETBEEFS in late July 2020.
STREETBEEFS originated in Virginia by Chris Wilmore aka Scarface.

Staying on fighting after getting dropped by the straight right is very impressive. Impressive domination by Too Explosive but props to Busta for finding ways to fight from his back and make trouble from a compromised position repeatedly.

Thats the point. T.E. made him wary with that opening combo. He doesent want to eat it again. So T.E. feints that scary right to set up something else.

Maybe I’m not familiar with the rule set, but what was the reset for @1:06 ? Was it a knee reap ? I also heard the ref say “keep going” so they might have stood up from a miscommunication , but still would like to know what foul happen there

@@TonisTerrors this is amateur fighting, nobody’s getting paid, and if someones foot or leg is broken, who’s gonna take him home or to a hospital? Plus since most of these guys are gonna be inexperienced, the tap isn’t something that a fighter is going to go for immediately, and due to that kind of response, panic and anxiety can actually make someone make a poorer decision, than already not tapping.

@@mynameyamaha500 so the human body (well generally, nearly all Earth’s organisms are Bilateral, meaning we are split towards the center of the body; two arms, two legs, two eyes, ten fingers, etc.) can be split into two sides If i fight orthodox, then my left hand and left foot is leading my attack, right hand and right foot helps lead my retreat. If i jab, i step off line and push forward off the back foot to cover distance, land my punch. The same exact motion works in the Southpaw stance the only literal difference is the reflection of the stances. They are the same stance, just facing the reflection of the other. I can prove this to you by making you stand in a mirror and put you in either Orthodox or Southpaw and within a couple minutes of mathematics in your head, you’ll understand what i mean. It does take years of practice, but its very practical and i think youll prefer it over your normal one-stance position

Your body is meant to function athletically as one whole unit, so it may FEEL like you have no power or control from the stance youre not used to, but really, its your brain just telling you “i don’t understand exactly what im doing, this is backwards but i still know how to punch and kick, its just weird from this position” In reality you’re going to be constantly shifting your hips, your shoulders, your ability to torque, all to get clean, accurate, powerful strikes in. No matter what stance youre in, its all the same punch; a jab from a southpaw is just the same as a jab from orthodox, same mechanics, different stances

Main branch refs also always have ppl fighting and rolling around shirtless in loose dirt with dust kicking up all over the place. It's never gonna be perfect. And tbh this was a really good fight, no bad sportsmanship and full throttle the whole way through. Most ppl gas out quickly and it gets boring
