I seriously hope this isn’t the end of Trolvo, it might not be everyone’s favourite car but it’s different from everything else out on the net. Would love to see a 4 link set up and some suspension work.

I really like the fact that it's not your average Falcon or Commodore with a Barra and a turbo or an LS1 conversion. I really enjoy seeing older, more interesting cars. 'Mr Dodgy' was a favourite of mine, as was 'Dad's Ute'... even Turbo Taxi! Those cars have character and history.

@@danozism absolutely, of course anything with Ford or Holden is going to get more views but it’s nice to see something different from what everyone else is doing that doesn’t involve anything Ford or Holden. I’m a massive Holden and Ford nut but it’s been done to death and we’ve pretty much seen it all now so for me we need more content like the Trolvo

What an epic journey this has been - thanks so much for taking us along with you Scotty! I can't even imagine the adrenaline rush it must be when both front wheels lift a foot of the ground like that! I for one would like to see some more Trolvo - maybe some basic rear suspension mods to see how much more the current engine setup can give?

Not sure top fuel cars get that much track prep, but looks like you had an absolute blast today. Congrats Scotty you have to be happy with that. You are getting as much wheels up actions as I do on the bike (only in one gear though). Not sure there is much more in it without spending a lot more money or going to some slicks. I think 9.50 is a good point to stick a pin in it and call it done. As much as I love watching the Trolvo videos, I think trying to go quicker is only going to frustrate yourself. Needless to say, if you try and go quicker, I'll be here to watch...

That last run was FIERCE! And you could almost hear the Trolvo saying "Give me MO-O-O-R-E as you made each run. Maybe just a few minor adjustments to the rear suspension to stiffen it up?

Nice mate🤙 I had a small block powered 244 sedan, grey in colour in Sydney in 1990s that run mid to low 11s full weight on 7 inch slicks. I found your channel through the TD 42 rebuild which I have now so thanks mate🤙

Destroked 400 sbc, Ross Burgess T400, Dominator converter, 4:11 cig volvo diff , steel wheels, mud flaps, baby seat , had a shit load of fun on the street! Took it to Summernats late 90s and made it in promotional video in go to whoa.

Congrats with new pb! Your driver rear spring seems broken. It may laounch even harder with a tad harder spring in that corner. Maybe install a spacer to get more pre load?

Scotty correct me if I am wrong on this, the MX5 is basically now a custom rear suspension and diff, custom hand built Barra with worked transmission, gutted to to max and runs NoS yet the garage built 240 with a converted Toyota engine and GM trans with downgraded rear diff ratio (I think it was 3.73 and is now 3.53 so better in the top end) is only 0.8 second away from it down the 400m mark. Hmmm, think about that for a moment people.

There's alot of effort that goes into the next 0.8 of a second. Remember the MX5 basically started at 9.6, and it has alot more in it. The Volvo is close to tapped out in terms of power with a engine/turbo upgrade. That's not to say the Volvo doesn't deserve respect though. It punches hard for what it is

Did you ever consider putting a green top in the Trolvo? It would be interesting on what the numbers could have been with a ford donk in the Volvo turbo Ed to the max

Just cast your mind back to the Trolvo's humble beginnings. Someone else's unfinished project, that didn't even run She truly has come l long way. I hope that launch picture can be enlarged to huge, so you if this is her last outing, you can have that momento. Maybe even sell posters or tee shirts. It truly has been a hell of a ride. If you can get the car to lift the nose that far on 235s, you're doing everything right. Just goes to show how far we've come since the 1990s when a 9sec pass on stock suspension was legendary.
