You have done well with Supermang she sounds nice hear the lion roar when you put your foot down but you can no doubt see that it is a very torquey engine in her very impressive for a simple garage overhaul. I hope next time Supermang is in the 12's and no doubt when you install the water to air water cooling system you have she will go harder. One thing it does still have that distinctive air suction sound of the pre alloywreck engines but keep up the good work cheers

I know exactly what you are talking about Scotty... I had a VS ecotec that I Supercharged years ago and it used to fry the tyres just like that... It was so much fun... It was a sleeper with the same size tyres on it and the same final drive ratio... It was running around 15 psi with water/ethanol injection... It was a hoot.

Those 3800's are strong on bottom end. A 4.11 rear gear actually helps the launch as long as you short shift it. And tyres.

Great video Scott, glad to see the mang hitting the strip! On its next outing, it'd be great to make a couple runs on the Kumo 205 before switching to radials so you know the impact of the intercooler. You never know, you might squeak into the 12s with cooler intake air temps :D

I too would like to take on the supermang once my vns ready but that's still a few months off, it'll be going shortly but will take time to save up for the tune. Be cool to see how a turbo buick goes against an l67 👌 I'm aiming for around 400bhp so should be a 12 second car too 🤔🤞👍

You can find VS SS /VT S wheels or Walkinshaw wheels 16x7 with 225/50/16 tires, cheap on eBay or Facebook. I had no traction, under power with 205/65/15 tires on my 5lt Ute. Looks good too 👍🏻😎

There ya go Scotty, 13:22 on Moe Drag slicks and it looks like she handles like a drunk wombat at speed which has to be a bit of a freckle clencher..... Bog stock those things in the day would spin the rears with a stab off the line so I reckon you did well with your PB and I reckon anything less would have been embarrassing. Good to see Kian as well, Reckon I'll wear my Carnage Tee shirt today :-)

Maybe you're getting quicker with drag tires, BUT: If you're duelling on the streets (yes i know it's forbidden and no one really do this) you would run on street tires. So 13's are not bad for this old girl with heavy extras like power windows and that sort of stuff.

You need to find out when the revs drop off because with the 3.08 ratio is way low for it . You need to get it higher in the rev range when changing gears . You can hear it die a bit in 3rd .

Did you need to pull timing from motor with high inlet temps of just over 100 when you're running E85? Is it knock limited on E85 at all, even at high temperatures? I run water/meth injection instead with my supercharger, but that's because I don't run E85 and for other reasons not relevant to running 1/4 mile times.

Not just an intercooler - you want to run a nice cold air duct to the throttle body. You want ZERO engine bay air going into that blower, only air from out in front of the radiator!
