Streets of Rage 2 - Boss tricks with Max

Some safe techniques to beat bosses in sor2 mania mode, no damage, but considering that all punks were killed first.
Since Jack isn't trivially grabbed I decided to include him in the video as well.
Note that for Mr.X the technique shown isn't realistic. When fighting Mr.X the punks around come in a limited number, but killing them all before Mr.X takes a while and you most likely get hit or killed in the meanwhile. There are other options to beat him including dealing with punks, but I didn't found any simple loop to do that.
If playing with 2 players you can deal with how AI targets players. See my Mr.X in 30 seconds as an example:

Adam Gordon Yeah I think Abadede is the hardest in the game then R. Bear, then Shiva (or tied in 2nd with R. Bear) & then Zamza just barely in the 3rd or 4th hardest because you have to fight him more then once & you get used to him.

Jeiygo Axel’s grand upper goes through most of Abadede’s attacks and makes him a joke. R Bear and Shiva can grab you out of it. I d say he’s third.

Another way to defeat Barbon quickly with Max is to tackle him. If Barbon attempts to block it, it'll end up draining a lot of health from him, if not even just defeat him outright.

When I did this vid I got rid of punks first, they aren't endless. It's not a good idea since it takes a while, though it may help getting rid of a few of the first punks until they start spawning 2 at a time instead of 3 as initially. On two players one can concentrate on Mr.X while the other protects the first, keeping punks away or "trapping" them (trap glitch)

Max all day, ranked in score with this game on XBL in the top 200 using him. His throws are brutal, especially his back throws. These tricks right here though - wow - make him even better

Max's Back Breaker Is ALMOST as satisfying as Haggar's Piledriver. Watching that Boss Health Bar go in one shot, so fk#₹in satisfying.

You get energy penalty with defensive special only if it hits somebody. While with offensive special, you get penalized every time even if hitting nobody.

Wow. I knew Max was strong but that jump slam when you grab an enemy is powerful. My most played characters in Streets of Rage 2 are Skate and Axel in that order. For SOR 1, its Adam and Axel in that order. I never really played with Blaze. In SOR 3, I use every character except her. Her special moveset was not as appealing to me. Her combos are fine though. For SOR Remake, I use Skate, Adam, Axel, and Zan most of the time.
