IOM supports the Government of Mozambique in #publichealth emergency preparedness and response, including active community-based surveillance and vaccinations for #COVID19, Polio, and Cholera. Our goal is to leave no one behind, especially migrants in vulnerable situations, internally #displaced people (IDPs), and host communities.
Key activities include prepositioning essential supplies; deploying mobile health teams to affected areas; developing emergency response plans; and, providing technical support to local health authorities.
IOM also enhances coordination among stakeholders and integrates public health measures with broader humanitarian efforts.
