Goal 2. 20 Perfect Pushups. How to: Work your way to being able to do 5 sets of 10. Start with 1-2 sets and overtime to add sets until you reach 5. Once you can do 5 sets of 10, try your 20 rep set. Goal 3. 100 Pushup session. Accumulate 100 reps in one session by using 10's, 15's, 20's. Heck even 5's. However you need to get there. 3 people will win a FREE Strength Side University Hoodie 👍 Drop your comment below to enter. 1. Why you're motivated to do this pushup program. 2. I just celebrated my 69 birthday. Iv been pretty active most of my life but a bout with cancer and some injuries have slowed me down. Also I just moved my 95 yr. old father into assisted living because he has a tough time standing. I want to avoid this and I’m willing to commit to this challenge to accomplish that goal.

I'm a 62-year old woman from London, UK. I learned to do multiple pushups in my late 20s/early 30s (I could do 40+) when I started to do Taekwondo lessons in an effort to get my body fit after I had meningitis, sepsis and a minor stroke when I was 27. I was fairly fit and flexible (did multiple dance classes, pilates and lots of walking every week) until 2018 when I was diagnosed with some autoimmune diseases and really stiffened up badly. Health went into freefall. Now have problems with joints, balance, circulation etc. Doing some of your simpler exercises like squats, have really improved my quality of life and pain level, so many thanks for that. I want to attempt push ups and then handstands over the next year. I have dodgy and painful shoulders so I must do something to combat this. Strength Side's follow along exercises seem achievable. Once my shoulders and hips are more mobile and stronger, I want to start some of your crawling routines to improve my flexibility. Thank you doesn't really cut it but thanks for the helpful content you and Trevor put out.

I have been watching your videos for the past few years. I am a 44 year old military member from Canada, and your stretching/ strength videos have helped change my life. I have ensured parts of your training/ stretching always have a part in my daily routines and have notice huge improvements in my health and gains in my daily life. My goals are to be strong and healthy for myself and family for as long as I can. My younger self could do 90 pushups in one set, it has been a long time and currently only able to do 50. I am definitely going to do this and not let my age define me. Thanks for posting

I've been following Stength Side for several weeks now, incorporating your mourning routine, hanging exercises, and stretching into my running regimen, and the results have been phenomenal! I just watched your latest video on getting in shape with pushups, and I'm excited to start this journey. I started your program to build a more balanced and stronger body. I'm beginning with 10 pushups per set, aiming to reach 50 pushups in one go. My goal is to develop not only physical strength but also the mental resilience that comes with consistent training. Discovering Strength Side has been transformative; I feel more energized and motivated every day, when working out, at work, and in my life. Thank you for creating such empowering content and guiding us through practical, effective routines.

You guys are smart man. I've been doing the Move Strong Program for about a month and a half now and I not only see a difference in my body I feel it. I had been doing the cross-fit type workouts with jogs in-between, but your program is different. It's less exhausting and more intensely focused on being present, feeling the movements, good form and flexible natural flowing movements which is perfect for what I'm needing at age 54. Thanks fellas! I'll add the pushup routine to mix in at work to keep my energy focused and boosted! St. Petersburg, FL!

I'll try it! I found out I had high blood pressure and cholesterol. Decided to start moving more often. Fell in love with doing the primal movements I found on Strength Side. I tell everyone about it, got my 70 year old father in law incorporating some of it. Told my physical therapist about you guys and he loved it too. I also read "Move Your DNA" when you mentioned it in a video and essentially banished my office chair to a remote corner of my office lol I'm down 30 pounds total and can move better at 36 than I could 10 years ago. Been doing lots of mobility work and cardio and just started getting back into lifting weights so this challenge comes at a good time for me to keep stacking good habits. Im starting just shy of goal 2 - I can do 20 pushups but not perfectly(yet). I am in the United States - Delaware specifically. Hope I won!

Thank you (both) for all the inspiration and guidance. I've gone from only being able to get my socks on seated, bringing my foot up to the edge of the chair, barely, to just getting them on while standing on one leg, hinging from the hip! Nice!

HEY! Ok, this is a challenge I'm going to get behind! I'm 40 yrs young. However recently my 8 year old has become more active and passionate about her martial arts. I have a Black belt but haven't trained in over 20 years. I desperately need to get back in shape and start instructing martial arts again. She has also always wanted to sit on my back while I do push ups😂. So I'm going to do this for her. Tomorrow morning is the 8th. When I wake up I'm going to try to start with 8 push ups (depending on form) But I'm IN! LETS GOOO! Representing Nova Scotia Canada

Great video! I'm 67 and do 200 incline push-ups daily, along with some dumbbell curls and shoulder work three times a week. That, and I am very active, keeps me in shape and my posture straight. No one has even come close to guessing my age. I heard years ago that to stay young you need to keep moving and it has helped me physically and mentally.

Awesome! Just what I've been looking for - an informed uncomplicated explanation of what a push-up is, and a simple progressive routine to follow. I discovered Strength Side a few years ago, and fell in love with your content - so spiritually and physically uplifting. Every morning, I do a couple of your routines (e.g. Movement Meditation). I'm adding this to my morning routine 3x per week. Recently, I started training to become a Yoga Teacher; and I've realized the critical significance of strength (particularly core) in mindful, connected movement. Power to you brother. After physical therapy really didn't get me much in the way of results for the shoulder, I discovered Strength Side. Always struggled with proper pushups. So helpful the way you break it all down. Thank you so much🙏🏽🏋🏽‍♀️ I find your method more effective by taking baby steps after years of me sitting in a gym for an hour or two after work and thousands of pounds in a year in the UK. Form is everything! Body strength has become more important for me now after my mum suffered a stroke and I’m the one flying solo with the heavy lifting. Working on my body is keeping me mentally stronger through challenging times. I especially like how you don’t assume everyone has hours to play with and no stress. I can do about 6 presently then I drop to my knees. Aiming to double that if I can in a week but want to feel like I’m actually there, y’know, like I own those pushups. Presently my arms are like Bambi’s legs. Until next time ✌🏽🇬🇧

I'm motivated to do this push-up program because I'm a former athlete who's trying to get back into better shape in my 40's (I'm 47). I'm married with 3 daughters and I want to remain strong and flexible for the rest of my life so that I can enjoy my family. My parents aren't healthy and are very limited in their mobility (ages 79 and 77) which makes it very tough for them to spend time with family. I can currently do 15 "close to perfect" push-ups. I'm located just outside of Atlanta, in Acworth, GA. Can't wait to see where I am in this challenge in a month! (and beyond).

I started swimming in the sea but I was also just looking for a push up routine to compliment my swimming(1 day swimming the other day the push up routine, so it's well rounded). This video is the right match and the timing is perfect. I can already do 10 clean push ups but I want to increase that number and bulletproof my shoulders. Greetings from Split, Croatia and keep those helpful videos coming👍💪❤

Hey! this video is finding me at an amazing time as I work to be stronger and healthier than ever before-which means employing more dedicated focus on my upper body strength as a woman, and personally, has always been a more challenging, friction-laden aspect of working out for me.. so I think I'll start with a humble 10 reps and go from there. From Ontario Canada. Thanks for the wicked content!

I am taking on this push up challenge because I used to do a lot of push ups but have fallen out practice recently. I want to build back up my volume as well as training for Murph workout in the future. I am starting at 15-20 perfect push ups. I am located in North Carolina. I love the channel and the passion for movement and health!

UK, 15 pushups, broke this month so no gym but have been enjoying the increased abilty i have. When i started at the gym i was 14kg heavier and felt really limited in my ability to move my own bodyweight so its nice to come back and see what i have practically gained.

In 2023 I fell in love with running again & struggeled since then to do strength training in a consistent way. And I applied for the police (living in Southern Part of Germany) and part of the test I have to do is strength endurance on the bench press. So this is perfect for me :) Oh, I am starting @ 13 :) Keep up with your channel - loving it!

I used to do weight training years ago, but life got so busy I stopped doing anything at all, and I've been trying to start back exercising, but just can't get to it. This challenge is perfect, simple, no weights required, can do it in the morning when I wake up. My goal is to get my form perfect, and then build on the reps. Located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Thanks for the motivation! That hoodie looks awesome btw!!!

1. I want to get strong, but I don't want to complicate things. Going to the gym can be a mental hassle, but doing push ups in your apartment removes some of that mental hassle! 2. I can't do a flawless pushup from the ground. I can do 6-8 on my knees. 3. Denmark!

I’m motivated to add this to help loosen and build my shoulder strength. I had an injury with my shoulder and have also been following your hanging program which has been great. I’m going to start with 3 sets of 10, elevated presses out here in the beautiful state of Colorado. Keep doing what you’re doing Josh, cheers! P.s. cool sweatshirt my dude.

Hello, thank you so much for this awesome pushup tutorial video. 1. My name is Jeanette and I am motivated to do this pushup program because I started to do Ashtanga yoga and we use the exact pushup form you use in this video in order to transfer from a standing position to a floor position. I can't flow flawlessly like you do and I would very much love to do so. 2. As of right now, I can only do 5 pushups on my knees and I get fatigued. 3. I am in Oahu, Hawaii.

Jon from NY. I’m committing to working towards getting the 100 perfect pushups. Starting out at working toward 10 at first (probably with extra weight from toddlers climbing on my back lol). Love the channel and have slowly incorporating stretch routines and animal movements into my life recently. Need to get healthier and more energized to keep up with my growing twins. Keep up the great content.

Started already. I am in decent shape, but I haven't been active enough this year. My goal is to push my fitness level and well-being to their full potential. I did 2 sets. The first 15 reps were great form, and the last 5, not so much. I want to see when I can get to 100 reps in one session and how long it takes me. Let's go! I am in North Miami, South Florida. Thank you for all the values here on youtube.

1. Fix my form as I to mostly Chataronga yoga pushups, and even though they are great, they do not go full range of motion 2. 20 3.Netherlands. You got me hooked on working out during Corona, and after that I got my friends on the right path with you. Love buletproofing all my joints, and that I met you on random beach in Portugal is just a cherry on top. Can not wait to rock that hoodie!

Cheers from Germany, Staying fit and getting stronger bit by bit , conecting to myself by crossing borders with every rep. Im doing 3 times a week 8 sets of failure, 7 to 15 reps, but using full range of motion using two chairs to get a full stretch, declines with chairs and feets on a table, diamonds, dips and other variation if it get to easy. BE THE MUSCLE!!!

Thank you for this video! I've been looking for a good routine that is time efficient! I'm definitely committing to the challenge. I'm starting at 8 perfect push ups and I am doing this for my wife. We've been married for a year and between all the social activities, buying a house, and getting another job to help with stuff, I haven't had the time or energy to commit to working out like I used to. Sweatshirt or not, this challenge is a win!
