The up down game, engage disengage, LAT, and have started conditioning a positive interrupter (on day 5 of 3 weeks of just using the word or phrase - not using for real until after those 3 weeks). Also just saw a shorts by spot on agility where she does a very light touch - thank you, I got this. Tried it at my Rodeo Dog class and it did help. I live in a city with a lot of feral cats too. I have said, no bark or we're going home - your choice. You have to follow through that very first time you say it so they know you're not crying wolf. And you're going back home on the boring part of the walk that you just took). Next walk, could even be later that same day, same thing - No bark or we're going home - your choice. You can see the wheels turning - do i want to keep walking with Mom or Dad or do I want to bark and go home? They almost always choose the walk. For dogs barking in their own backyard, will say No bark, that's their yard; you'd do the same thing if that was your yard. Usually get 1 whine and we continue on our walk. Works like a charm.
