Probably way late of a comment/question, but how well does that ikea trofast rack work for a baby set up? I saw these online at ikea a few months ago and had this exact idea for my several aquatic breeding projects(guppies, snails, ADF, and maybe someday axolotls) but was concerned about the reviews saying bins weren’t secure enough to hold a bunch of weight.

It worked well for me. I eventually ended up just using a muscle rack for them because it was easier/less worrying. The rack worked for me for my first 2-3 clutches though.

Albinos axolotls lay white eggs while non-albino lay black/brown.

Oh okay have to be albino even if dad is a wild type. My Lucy laid eggs and the dad is wild.

@@jujubeeskids Leucistic isn’t albino. Albinos will have red/pink eyes to show a true lack of pigment as opposed to simply a color variation. Golden albino, white/pink albinos, and coppers will lay white eggs. Leucistic, wild, melanoids, etc will lay dark eggs. It will have nothing to do with the father of the clutch.
