Love these videos and I love that you guys promote 84 string

We don't exactly "promote" 84 strings. It's just we recommend more mainstream strings

Succinct and wisdom-packed! I always wondered about the actual usefulness of string thickness; the gap width makes total sense!

@@Scayanite I'm a lefty so I have to reverse-engineer all tricks, my string gets loose vs tight, etc. This was a huge help on sorting out a good set up, so thank you again!

What is break in? I was wondering what it was after it being mentioned in other places.
@Scayanite
@Scayanite 5 ай бұрын
'Break in' refers to when a newly made object, settles into a more 'used' state. In the case of the string, usually some strings are rougher, tighter, and shorter. But as people play with it, it softens, loosens, and even elongates

Could you review the magic yo-yo April?
@Scayanite
@Scayanite 2 жыл бұрын
That yoyo has been stopped being made, so i might do it for Revisit, but highly unlikely. If it helps tho, the April is very light compared to most throws, is decently comfortable but a bit too sharp, and power is terrible.

Can we clean yoyo string?

You CAN. However, it's not something most people even consider doing. You can try, there's no one stopping you. So go right ahead!

Any methods for giving fresh life to not dead but well played string? I'm a heckin hobo, I gotta make these things last.
@Scayanite
@Scayanite 2 жыл бұрын
I've heard some people wash their string? But i don't really advise it. If you can, try making your own string from thread. But my top recommendation is to really just stock up on string when given the opportunity to.

@@Scayanite Biggest problem for me that affects my play is when they start to cut into my fingers. Washing might help that. I was going to try wax as well but I need better pads first. Frays aren't really a problem and I don't play them to the point they might snap. It's still only a couple hours of play though. It's ALOT of effort just to make one string, but yeah, definitely cheap to do. It's the constant struggle of: do I save money and stop playing yoyo so I can buy a new yoyo or do I keep beating around this old yoyo by spending all my money on strings 😭
@Scayanite
@Scayanite 2 жыл бұрын
@@jeffbrownstain First off, the Sring isnt really the problem for String CUTS or rope burns. Remember, its always about technique. Altough in some cases, (namely the string being too thin and coarse) its highly unlikely to be the string at fault. If the string cuts or burns you, calm tf down and slow down. Make sure you arent going too fast for your own good. Its not always about speed, ironically enough. Secondly, you dont necesarilly need to spend too much on strings. A good pack or 2 can last for about a year or so if you only replace your string every once or twice a week.
@jeffbrownstain

@@Scayanite I have tiny fingers with flimsy weak skin. I can get a paper cut if I look at a post-it note the wrong way. It's 100% the string considering I can play the exact same way all day, but it's only a worn string that starts cutting towards the end of the day. Just RESTING a day old kitty on my fingers causes them to hurt, I dont have to even be moving the yoyo. Also, chill the hell out homie. If you dont wanna help dumb people with dumb questions, either get off youtube or learn how to ignore comments: don't be an asshat. I play plenty slow and do a lot to focus on my precision, don't assume so much based on so few words. Also, literally everyone says to change string more than once a week. They actully would shred if I played more than a day on them, 5 days to a week and you just aren't even playing yoyo.

@@jeffbrownstain Apologies if i sounded offensive by any means (specifically the "Calm tf down" part) it was just an expression i tend to use in casual conversations. So my apologies for that. Just do keep in mind i try to help with the knowledge ive accumulated from all the years of experience ive had in yoyoing, so our cases may not be exactly identical, but i try to keep my videos, and advice to a general standpoint. I hope this clears any mis-understandings.
