So this is the video that I wanted to do. For a number of years this is one of my super tricks I don’t use it very often because I don’t make the mistake of tightening up my bolts before they’re all started which is the mistake that was made in this particular situation. But because the mistake was made it allowed me to make this video so this will be extremely helpful to any DIY at home Auto Repair. And I hope you find the serious value of even watching this even if you’re not having this problem today so please share the video give me the thumbs up I greatly appreciate it God bless and have the best of days I hope you enjoy the video.

Great video!! One of the thermostat housing bolts on on my Town Car wouldn't go all the way in. I used a vice grip to hold the bolt (kinda bootleg but it worked lol), used my foot to hold down the vise grip, and carefully cut down the center of the bolt (not too far though). I was actually able to hear the bolt re-cutting the threads as I tightened it down. Now my Lincoln is back on the road like it should be! Glad I saw your video!

One thing you forgot to mention and say is it turn the bolt into a tap and re-taps the threads but at the same time the strength of the bolt is also comprised so if you are doing that make sure once you have repaired the thread to replace the bolt with a new one

I was just going to say dosen't that compromise the bolt strength, im guessing yes ,it that particular one application probably won't matter because that looks like power steering pump ,but im pretty sure in any place it has stress on it ,tap and die would be needed, but im just guy who's been working on vehicles since I was 15 ,now 42 .

@ 1:25 I replaced yesterday Rear strut on 2003 Chevy Cavalier and it looks like one mounting bolt got crossed. Exactly how it is shown in this film it can't go further. I think to come from another side to clean the threads in the hole (the bolt is supposed to go upward, and it is crossed, so I'll try to send it from top to bottom). If it won't help I'll try to cut it. Interesting technique shown.

Well like I said in the video you have to use common sense if you only have two bolts holding something DO NOTdo this! . Just want to make sure you understand I’m not saying that in your situation not to do it because I don’t know exactly how many bolts you have holding the trailer on but it is one of them things that you have to realize is not a practical fix I just think that there was certain situations where this technique and trick would actually be just fine like say you’re trying to bolt a exhaust bracket to something in the exhaust is bolted down district would be just fine for that but if it’s anything that requires a safety situation I personally would not do it I would loosen everything up and do it properly.

Are you going to remove the stud? And put some washers behind it. You could probably run a tap if you’re removing the stud and put it incorrectly just run the tap down blow out the whole after you run the tap down. Or like I said just remove the stud put some washers on it after you measure how far it actually goes in it’s not like you’re going to be able to hurt somebody if it doesn’t work so I wouldn’t worry too much about it but fixing it right would also be good to.

Attaching the new brakes, I crossed the bolts. They went in very hard, I thought it was because of new rubber inserts (they came together w/new brakes) I put in holes for those bolts. They stopped ~1/4 in before the end, where they are supposed to be, and started to rotate free both ways (clockwise and counterclockwise), I can't extract them, because they rotate. @@sharpcarco Thank you for your attention to my problrm, Sir! I extracted those two bolts yesterday, the picture was: one bolt was broken completely (threaded part was left in the hole of the knuckle, and the cylindrical part was by itself in the caliper), and that is why it was rotating freely, another one totally messed up the thread in the knuckle hole, as well as its own thread, so also rotated free. I ordered new knuckle, both to be on the safe side. I think that would be the best solution for the brakes. God Bless!

@@juliogonzo2718 that may be so in this case. @@sharpcarco calm down princess. all I'm saying is DON'T call it a SUPER FIX. Just call it what it is, a SUPER HACK. Since you agree that it's a hack trick, no need to get all emotional about it princess. I swear guys on KZfaq act worst than women.

Yeah I’m a bitch sometimes…. 🤔😂 but when you make videos to help people that are free for them and they constantly bitch and complain and whine……. Well it gets a little bit old….

Let me know when you make videos without the news ticker text below. I'll actually watch them and click like. I could not finish this video due to the distracting text that had nothing to do with the discussion.

I don’t do it all the time but there’s people who like it and there’s people who don’t.... I do it because it’s my channel and I enjoy the information and I love being in a social setting where I don’t know many people and it gives me something to talk about and makes me seem more interesting. At least that’s my opinion but you have yours as well I still wish you the absolute best and I’m sorry that you wouldn’t be a part of this great Channell have a great day God bless

It would take a helluva lot less time to watch these videos if the people making them didn't like the sound of their own voices so much and stopped waffling on and on, just get on with covering the bloody subject ffs!
