Stripped crankshaft on our C1500

Күн бұрынThe other day we discovered that the threads to our crankshaft were stripped. We got our selves a tap, re-threaded the whole where the crankbolt goes and primed the engine. Thanks for watching.

The oil priming tool is designed to be operated with the intake on, the metal peice slides down into where the distributor would usually butt up to to try and minimize contaminents getting into the motor. Other than that great vid!

ROAD RUNN3R Hey no problem! Looking forward to the next vid!! Me and my friends have been keeping up on this build. I got a 92 c1500 w a 350sbc and 700r4, i got a 1995 k1500 with a 350 and a 4l60e, and a 1996 s10 with a 4.3 and a 5-speed manual! Lookin forward to seeing how urs turns out!!

Awesome vid. Have the same issue - did you have to change the harmonic balancer bolt diameter to a bigger size?

We just bought a tap and die set from harbor freight and re-tapped the threads. Luckily we were able to use the same bolt.
