Joel's music was always bittersweet. There was soul to it. While he does make bangers. He's made some pretty tender songs. Strobe is an anthem that resonates within my generation, back when the edm revolution blew up 2007-2014(around that imo). It was a song that left you with good memories. Those times were beautiful, genres broke the norm, pushed the envelope. Sadly all good things end some time, at least for now. It's died down a bit, at least from what I can see. But anyway, this performance encapsulates why Joel Zimmerman is a legend, a great guy, and a true artist. Not bad for a guy who started out in a crappy apartment in Toronto. It's amazing how far he's come.
