@@ShayanGivehchian it would tho. Yes the volume would be much lower but their percentage of the pie is much higher so it balances itself out. For example let’s say they got $10,000 an episode for 7 episodes and they probably get no residuals so they’d walk with $70k. Now they shoot the same 7 episodes and instead release independently on multiple platforms(they can license it to tv and stuff like that while retaining ownership) and let it live for the duration of their life cause they get residuals from ownership and they charge the typical $19.99 per season they would only need approx 14,000 views to generate the same amount of revenue for each of them and then they keep making more on it over time passively which ultimately would surpass their network earnings. The major difference would be if they want their money all upfront or if they are cool with letting it accumulate. considering content is becoming the main focus of all businesses they could also make a ton off sponsorships during the actual filming to cover recording and travel costs etc. so I’m not saying it’s 100% promised but it is very possible. I was bored and typed this long ass response so my b 😂

They're filming season 2 right now. As long as they stick to the original formula, and travel to some different countries, it's going to be awesome. The only thing that should change is removing those segments featuring internet clips of cross-fitters and gym bros passing out or wrecking their equipment. Three reasons: (A) it has fuck-all to do with competitive or historical strongmen (B) there are countless clips available for use of actual strongman athletes making hilarious/horrific mistakes both in and out of competitions and (C) most of those dumb internet clips have already been seen by the people who will watch The Strongest Man in History.

@MdoubleHB Its only invalid if a majority athletes in the sport don't use PEDs If you are competing in a sport where PEDs are normalized like the IFBB in bodybuilding or strongman then it is not an edge on your opponents, secondly what do you mean real athletes don't use drugs, you know PEDs and steroids are not wonder drugs right you still have to put an immense amount of blood sweat and tears into succeeding drugs don't replace work, Im not condoning the use of them but don't invalidate the work it takes even for "roided" athletes

Out of the 4, Brian is one of the greatest of all time, Eddie won and has ridiculous records, and Nick competes as an old man far beyond his prime. Robert is the one that sort of sticks out more as the one with the fewest achievements especially compared to the two other younger guys. Still insanely strong, but lacks those no one in the world can talk shit about me accolades.

sadly it's much deeper. Nick married the widow of a much younger m better looking, more accomplished strongman, who refused to take the Best name upon marriage, keeping her dead husband's name through the marriage. This seriously effected Best big time, which is why hes been such a pitiful figure in strongman. SAD!
@SouthsideSox007
@SouthsideSox007 Жыл бұрын
The reason he wasn’t a great strongman is because he was mainly a power lifter and got into strongman late in age. And it’s actually not uncommon for widows to keep their dead husbands name even after they remarry. For some it’s a religious thing. Once your in wedlock, you forever keep the name. Totally agree with the point at the end, you need that comedy and you need those friendships in there too, it’s why Top Gear was so great; 3 mates pissing around in some cars, same with this, there is a magic to strong relationship between mates, especially with the same interests, same struggles etc. what makes a show great.

I dont know why Eddie thinks someone would want to see him and Oberst rolling around naked in a hotel room, shitting for the camera or farting all over the place to annoy people. Dont get me wrong, I love the chemistry amongst these guys and I enjoy seeing them taking the piss out of each other. But if childish humor is your only tool then you can't be surprised they don't find it marketable for big audiences. I think now we know why this show didnt have a season two lol now that bit with Eddie and Obi ripping of the crazy looking guy and his family sounds funny as hell 😂

Being honest I feel really kinda bad for Nick, they really do just kinda walk all over him and treat him like a punching bag. Maybe I’m not understanding the relationship, but it def does seem like Nick gets disregarded A LOT, and there’s some tension between him and Eddie. I mean he was literally about to break down and start crying when he talked about that kid that his friend named after him, who was standing right there when Eddie and Rob were making fun of him and clowning on him calling him a wuss. And they just laughed at him, called him stupid for putting so much weight on and just brushed past it. There’s several other places where Nick kinda hinted that stuff they said or did really hurt and upset him, and not once does anyone stop and consider that maybe it’s not all in good fun on Nick’s end. Nick tries to play it off as best he can, but I think he’s so willing to do all this because these guys have a lot more subscribers and followers for their online presence. He quit his job to pursue these opportunities, and he’s an older guy now. Idk, I just don’t think these guys seem always treat him very well. Seems pretty callous and cruel for someone that’s supposed to be a friend. Even on the video they did for Eddie’s channel, Eddie forgot to mention Nick’s KZfaq channel and he got upset about it. Just doesn’t seem like a happy relationship on Nick’s end tbh, but who knows maybe I’m interpreting things the wrong way.

I always feel Nick is kinda on the outside a bit in this group, I dunno if it's the age gap. Personally I couldn't be around Eddie or Oberst for any great period of time TBH.

@@trident1314 I used to think that as he is a bit older and quiter he was happy to just sit back and let the "kids" play, but seeing them all together again it seems that there is some animosity especially from Eddie and they are actively keeping him out of the group apart from Brian who is way too nice. Everytime he speaks there is either a dead pause or they straight up insult him and move on.

They are straight up bullying him. You can see Eddie does not like him, and constantly tries to undermine him.

I found out about the four of you about a year ago and you have inspired me greatly. I've always enjoyed the content but it took almost a year for me to use that inspiration and start working out again. I'm 5'10 and have always been between 160-180lbs but during lockdown, depression took me up to 230 and my habits were as bad as they could get. I'm only about 2 months in right now but I'm down to 203 and still improving. I went and bought myself weights, lots of protein powder, vitamins, creatine, started counting calories and working out 5 days per week. This is the longest I've stuck with a routine so far and you guys helped me find that will power, so thank you!

This year has been a really rough year for me. My birthday is January 16th 1977. This past January on the 14th I was sick with a kidney infection that very soon turned into a blood clot going to my heart and causing a heart attack on the 20th. Long story short I have been trying so heard to recover I have been through so much. And recently as we speak I am dealing with covid 19. Watching you guys on KZfaq helps to keep my mind off my problems. Thank you guys for being strong for me. You are an encouragement for life. I barely started walking in August and am still struggling at the moment you guys keep me going everyday Shaw, Best, Hall and Oberst strength all the way!

How’s it going Brian, Robert, Nick and Eddie? Great seeing you all!! I absolutely loved the show. I along with so many others are waiting for a part 2. Is it going to happen? Are there plans for a sequel or part 2 of many more to come? I know I would watch every single one!! I’m sure I’m not the only one. You guys have a great chemistry together and you can tell that you all are friends. It showed so much more than just guys lifting heavy things. We actually got to know you guys as well as learning about incredible feats of strength throughout history and I’m sure there’s so much more! So many more legends who have done things throughout history that have been documented and that remain great feats of strength. Thanks so much to you all and to Brian for having everyone on and for having an incredible podcast and KZfaq channel! I’m not a weight lifter but I sincerely appreciate everything you do. Since a kid I’ve always been interested in and always watched the worlds strongest man competitions. When I found out that arm wrestling was one of the events you’d have to do, that was mind blowing! I don’t remember seeing it and I believe it should come back. Also I know that you’ve done some videos with juji and with Derek and some others. Your name is brought up on many different arm wrestling KZfaq channels, a lot of live chats on different channels. Your the most talked about person in arm wrestling that isn’t an arm wrestler! So many people are hoping and wishing that you would grace the tables with your presence. Many believe that your the only one capable of having a chance at beating Levan Saganashvilli the Georgian Hulk. I’ll ask the question you are probably asked all the time! Are you going to start training for arm wrestling in order to challenge Levan? There’s a bunch of professional athletes just waiting to work with you and help you train and gain arm wrestling experience so you can take on Levan. So many truly believe your the only one who can pull it off!! Will you do it? Please Brian. It would be incredible and it would be huge for the world!! Thanks again Brian. Really appreciate everything you do! I really appreciate the different people you have on your podcast. Take care, stay safe and healthy!! ( Any chance Brian of getting ahold of all the scenes that didn’t make the show? I think a lot of people would love to see like a cutting room floor special or something like that? It would be awesome!!) Everyone who’s ever seen the show, including all of you want another season!! Please make it happen!! Eddie hit the nail on the head, one of the biggest problems in the world today is this bullshit about political correctness!! I don’t understand this when so many don’t like politics and when have politicians ever been correct about anything. I can tell you that most people, the overwhelming majority of the people who watch you guys and like you all , love the humor and the banter between you all. The humor and the crazy things you all do, Eddie’s and Roberts farting and crapping humor is all appreciated and everyone wants to see it all. I hope I speak for most and say F*CK political correctness!! The world needs a serious break from whatever is going on with changing sports team names because they offend a couple people that happen to have money and political influence. It’s getting out of control the way certain people want all of society to act and be s certain way!! This is no way to lead or run a country. There’s more people who distrust the government and mainstream media than ever before. You guys have so much power and are loved by so many. You and your supporters do have the strength and support to make things happen!! Please all of you, use that power and influence to make this happen!! The four of you together without anyones help or permission could make this happen and it would be hugely successful. You all would get to do it the way you want, you would put whatever scenes in you want and you all would make your money back and then some. You said it yourself Brian, the numbers are there!! So what are you all waiting for? Everyone wants to see it!! Thanks so much !!
