Activity of opioids is greatly related with various groups at different positions with either increasing or decreasing effects on both analgesic activity and potency. Here we will discuss such important SAR of opioids along with examples.

so morphine w like 11carbons on the 17?

Morphine has simple methyl group at 17th position. So it acts as mu receptor agonist.
