One subtle thing I loved is they let there lead actors keep there accents, it demonstrates subtly that everyone is from different parts of the universe

Everyone knew we were getting a setup movie for this first one but people wanted to act shocked... The second one is described by Zack as a "war" movie. I cant wait for it and to watch your reaction to it!

Visuals were great,it sucks that Ray Fisher's character died,he was really cool.I really like Charlie Hunnam in the movie,too bad he turned out to be a traitor :( Hope we get to see more of the robot played by Anthony Hopkins in Part Two :)

Today's the day I enjoyed this movie 4 times. I still can't wait for Part 2 and the extended cut.

It's good to start the new year with you two. I like the world building here. Not sure if I'd call it good, but mostly because it felt like it didn't quite live up to its potential.

The first part of the novelization is out and it is hardcore violent and Kora does have a sex scene that was alluded to in the film. The first issue of the prequel comic comes out 1/10 and it’s the story of the Battle Axe siblings. It’s 4 issues.

I did think all the way through you could see every beat where it was pitched as a Star Wars story. But I enjoyed it as it was. Not perfect - what is - but still fun.

Star wars dark vador / General Grievous type enhanced for that dude... At the End... That Emperor guy with the can lighting ground cracking portal is like Snoke...talking... what is expected...

Personally, this was a good film. The only thing that would have made it better was if it was broken down into a series. Certain characters should have lasted much longer. In a series, the betrayal would have been much more effective if it had happened further into the story. Secondly, Blood Axe should have made his sacrifice later on. He was too formidable to be taken out so early. Ultimately, a series would have given this more time for the audience to connect with the characters and actually feel a lot more emotion.

Definitely checking this out

The Rebel Moon Snyder cut comes out right after the second film is out on Netflix and then the new cut of part 2 comes out. Its suppose to be his true vision, on those longer movies. I cant wait to see Rebel Moon 1 and 2 Snyder cuts.

I've watched a lot of movies and a lot of television and in everything I've ever watched, I can't remember many times where a movie is hated on so much. This movie was deemed garbage by critics and the general public months before it was released. Before anyone ever even got to see it, it was deemed bad. I swear it feels like it was/is a trend to absolutely trash this movie in any possible way at any given opportunity. The character development is bad and while it shouldn't take a directors cut to fix the movie, it very well could. The visuals were there, the monster design and CGI was fantastic outside of maybe one scene (the tentacles) other than that everything else looked very good. The score was there, the cast was there. There is clearly a vision and a story there. I don't know if it was a budget thing or what, in comparison to a lot of big films, this movie was very low on a reported budget of only $83 million. This movie has a glaring flaw and that being the character development. I believe everyone would be singing a very different song if the characters were fleshed out more. This movie really is not anywhere near as bad as its made out to be. Its just a meme to say it's the worst movie ever.

The critics were right and another "Snyder Cut" is not going to save this mess. At best, it's just a collection of scenes taken from older, better movies. Snyder needs to put the pencil down and let someone else write his movies.

Snyder should go into gaming or something. Like honestly at this point he should just give up on movies. What a turd.

Great Cinematography. Some beautiful worlds and good costume design (except for the bad guy's obvious naziesqe uniforms). One-dimensional characters and no character development. Quick introduction to each character then they are just bench players. They have no growth and do not use the skills introduced. "Lightsaber" woman is introduced has an awesome fight and then stands in the background for the rest of the movie. Old General is introduced and then none of his skills for strategy or tactics are used and he is a background character. Prince is introduced and relegated to the background with no more growth. The two most intriguing characters are not seen for the entire movie after being introduced in the beginning. The soldier that stood up to his brothers in arms to try and prevent the rape of the girl. What happened to him? People say he will appear in part 2, well that is pretty lame for part 1 though. Same with the robot voiced by Anthony Hopkins. It just disappears then reappears at the end with a crown and a spear with no context. The main character monologues most of her past in the form of overdone slo-mo shots, not even done where they would be most effective. The main bad guy only seems to be dangerous against unarmed farmers with a weird club. Otherwise, there was nothing to make him stand out or be feared. The main capital ship is taken out by a spear by a guy who just met these people but decided to sacrifice himself. Then to top it off. Snyder himself tells us we need to wait for the director cut because it will be a whole different movie. So basically he is telling us he released crap now so he can have a "Snyder's Cut" later. This one was already so boring, I struggled to stay awake and we have a part 2 to slog through. Now he wants us to watch through a longer director's cut version to get the real universe he intended, implying this release was a farce. This is not the worst film out there and I am sure people can be entertained by it. But it is NOT the blockbuster original sci-fi universe everyone claims. It was a rejected Star Wars story after all. Not just influenced, Snyder wanted it to be a Star Wars story, so stop calling it original. I would give this a 4 out of 10 or a 2 out of 5. It's mediocre and less so because he actually is telling us that the better one will be his director's cut. Then why even release this one!
