This combo only worked because of brc. Also depending on where you are, bombah can sometimes launch you backwards. @ 5:15, that only worked bc Slayer was slightly above axl (for some reason, axl being above you also does that) I’ve been practicing brc bombah combos so that’s why i know also sick combo tho (hi hatsu)

Hey Lucid, I’ve been taking a pretty long break from fighting games to focus on college, but after Slayer dropped in Strive I’ve been practicing with him and playing with friends new and old, and so far it’s been a blast. Getting over my old muscle memory was a bitch, but learning the new combos has been surprisingly fun and having true crossplay with rollback is a fucking blessing. Keep mashing and maybe one day I’ll catch one of your streams again and have another go at the monke man himself!

Yeah, guard crush actually lets you recover in the air instead of guaranteed forcing until landing recovery. Leads to some very funny punishes and knowledge checks/rps in a few spots

Vs garuda, the only time there isn’t a frame gap is during oki or after a Roman cancel, so if pot is doing shit like Gatlings> garuda or garuda> garuda you can just jump out. garuda rc garuda is fucking broken tho so b careful jumping or mashing if they got meter.

@@LoraLoibu It can be, yes. It has to hit VERY meaty to be gapless (I think it's a 2 frame window), but that means the window to frame trap jumps and buttons is pretty generous.

I use Xbox analog. The method i used to learn in the video is the best i got tbh. You just gotta be real fast and deliberate. Half circle back, neutral, dash macro up (or up back) H

Xrd is a great game with a lot more layers that can be over whelming at first. But it has a lot of good tutorials besides the combo trials that help you learn the game. Plus there are plenty online in the player lobby system to play against

But it's not kara bite. It's TK bite. You are cancelling forward dash with jump and then canceling jump startup frames with special.

It's kara. Tk means doing the air version of a move as soon as possible after leaving the ground, bite isn't an air move.

Because you are moving forward with the bite and never leaving the ground, that's a kara. Tk would be off the ground. You don't call backdash bite tk bite in Xrd

Tk means doing an OG Tiger Knee motion on the ground to use air specials as quickly and close to the ground as possible. Bite is obviously not an air move.

@@LucidButtonMasher Kara means that u're cancelling the startup of the move like normals, otherwise any abare, os and mashing could be called kara. We cancel the startup of one move with another to transfer the properties of the initial attack, such as invincibility or range. And teleports are not considered as "move" since it's a movement. 6k>potbuster is kara. 66321467 is tk, cuz u're doing tk motion, in other words cancelling forward dash teleport into jump and then cancelling it into special. It was generally accepted to slayer and azrael before in arcsys games. If slayer could cancel his 6HS into Bite, while getting the forward move from it, it could be called kara. But slayer does forward dash > cancel forward dash with jump > cancel jump by doing special with tk motion. If you could just do a bite without jump, then it could be called kara (in some terms). Calling jump startup cancelling as kara makes me die from cringe. Another argument that strive players are weak.
