If you are using the Ordinary peeling solution, use it ONCE a week and no other exfoliating ingredients in your skincare routine. Use it at night on clean face for 10 mins ( no more than 10 minutes ) and make sure to get it off your face without it entering your eyes. Follow up with a moisturizer and always wear SPF during daytime

For all my sensitive skin girlies or boyies or them-ies…(?) I highly recommend Some By Mi’s AHA/BHA/PHA toner! Korean skincare is known to be much gentler on skin than American skincare is and is good if you want to build up more of a tolerance to chemical exfoliants like The Ordinary’s🤗☺️

I love the 5% lactic acid superficial chemical peel. I use it every night before Bed until my texture is diminished then I will take a break from it and try to keep up with my regular skin care routine until my skin feels textured again. This way I'm not over using the product and decreasing the chance of over exfoliating and damaging my skin.

I made cinnamon oil for my grandson and after a week his skin looked a lot better. It's all natural and I'm sure much cheaper. I used a small container of ground cinnamon and a cup or so of avocado oil. Put it in a jar and simmer (lowest setting) with the lid off for 2 hours. I let it sit for a week and stirred daily. He dips a Q-tip in the oil and applies it in the morning. He uses it for a week then takes a day or two off. His skin looks so much better now!

I'm glad they both worked for you, your skin looks amazing now. But I had clogged pores as well and tbh these acids did not work for me, they were too strong and caused breakouts. The thing that did help was going to my derm and getting prescribed low dose accutane, low dose anti biotic for a few months, and using her reccomended sacylic acid leave on serum Ofcourse acne isnt a linear journey. I recently fucked up my skin again by shaving it with a harsh blade, so now I'm back to square one with clogged pores and breakouts. But yeah it was nice to have clear skin for a few months after the derm visit. I'll have to go to her again to achieve the same result

What worked best for me was focusing more on hydration. So now i use a ceramide based moisturizer and a spf 50 omc free sunscreen and at night double cleanse it and just use the moisturizer again. I got allergy and lot of purging. So I’ve stopped buying products online which are suggested by others. It’s good that you cleared earlier that you’re not dermatologist and these are just products suited for you. Tip for dry skin people that watched this video: Don't use the peeling serum because it might destroy your skin. Hear me out. Switch to The Ordinary Lactic acid serum instead which will equally help exfoliant your skin gradually and clear it without destroying your skin ph, since it also contains hyaluronic acid in the formula which is gonna balance the acid out. There's a lot of misinformation on the internet. That peeling serum has both AHA & BHA's and are suited for people with oily skin and unbalanced skin pigmentation. It shouldn't be used casually.

The glycolic acid was harsh and i saw zero improvement. I tossed it. Now I hear it’s really good for smoothing out cracked heels which means it was definitely too rough for my face 😩 I did have a lot of success with using the Azelaic Acid from The Ordinary. I used it morning and night, and my skin improved within 6-8 weeks. I had been trying to figure it out with different products for almost a year. I will say that it dries your skin out, so try to use it only in the areas where you have those breakouts and nowhere else. I also used their AHA/BHA peeling solution every 1-2 weeks but the Azelaic Acid was the real star.

For those looking for an internal solution in addition to the topicals suggested here - you need to cut out oily foods (even healthy oils, like avocado, nuts, fish) They make your sebum more gloopy, which in turn clogs your pores. if you want lasting results, give this a try (alongside AHAs/BHAs). Also check nerida joy out!

Can I just use glycolic acid toner and niacinamide serum from ordinary for textured skin with open pores and hyperpigmentation ?
@ShayoniMajumder
@ShayoniMajumder Жыл бұрын
If you have Skin of color it's better to avoid glycolic acid, instead go for mild AHA based serum or peel. For pigmentation you can use niacinamide and alpha arbutin. Kojic acid is an AHA which works on both textured skin and hyperpigmentation. There are products in which you can find all these and won't have to use separate products.

I use a niacinamide moisturizer instead of the serum am/pm. I only use the glycolic acid toner 2-3x a week and I make sure to not use the niacinamide cream on those nights. I’ve found that my skin gets irritated when I use both on the same night. I get compliments on how clear and glowing my skin thanks to these two products. I have dark oily/normal combo skin btw.

@@ShayoniMajumder💯I was using the glycolic acid twice a day, every day and my skin got clear but it was so oily and irritated. Now I use it 2-3x a week depending on how my skin looks.

How do u use it? Can the peeling solution and toner be applied at the same time? Also what skincare should I do at day time since it's only supposed to be used at night, and what face wash/cleanser should I use? (I'm 14 btw, just saying because some of y'all might say that the formulation or acids are too strong for me, I actually have oily skin with lot's of hyperpigmentation or acne marks?)

I once watched a shorts video where ds glycolic acid toner sorta thing worked greatly for her feet. She used it to remove dullness, dry and patchy feet skin. And Wallah her feet were of babies after regular use. So m planning to buy nd use it on my hands nd feet. Anyone who could help me understand that better? Or someone who is an expert or a satisfied user that can guide me further. You are welcome.

To ordinary users I wanto ask , does ur skin feels stretched after using the products cos mine does. I had used minimalist bfr ordinary but minimalist is sticky so I got ordinary but it makes my skin too dry and stretched after using so i have to layer with thick moisturizer to rub off that feeling. I use niacinamide salicylic acid serum of the ordinary and both gives me stretchy feeling on the skin after application.
