New Gods are the things we live for that get us through the day, every day. Against all odds, they give us hope and purpose. They can be songs, ideas, or a helping hand from a friend or stranger. We wanted the video to represent the feeling of being inspired, as well as the feeling of inspiring and passing the torch- to begin something new and to live as a creative force in a world constantly destroying itself.

the setting reminds me of the time Strung Out was in my town and they jammed with a bunch of local punks at a little house downtown. there must have been 200 kids in that house!

The song is good, I like it, but yes, this mix sounds pretty amateurish/rough/weird. Might be a deliberated thing to sound more punk, but it's not my cup of tea. Someone will like this kind of mixing, tho.

Sometimes the KZfaq compression does terrible things to mixes, but this sounds like there is some questionable choices going on.

The mix is awful, but I the performance seems sloppy too. Doesn’t sound tight- especially vocals. Transmission Alpha Delta shredded and sounded great, but haven’t really been able to connect with the SO sound since that album.

Straight from the first listen earlier today, I really like this track. Punchy, catchy, have had it going around my head. But I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling problems with the mixing because it definitely could be better.

Just be grateful a band with a 50 year old singer (happy B day J) is still making fuckin’ punk rock albums with the mad notes, are willing to tour in a van and come somewhere near our shitty towns for a decent price. let the band nit pick their own shit. My bed times have never been decent, but now I'm grateful to know it's because I'm Autistic and ADHD. Miss the feel of the pit and pushing up against the tall boy speakers, the ring in my ears for hours afterwards. Everyone is worried about the tech now at shows, and wanting to record on their device. Miss shows in the late 90's/early aughts.

Who mixed this complete Garbola ? Sounds like the band recorded (and not that well mind you) did a rough mix, sent it to Jason's house and he did a one take vocals on his iPhone while driving in his car down the road and just bunged it over the top with no compression at random volume levels. Absolute slop

Kyle black killed it on a.d.t... if they could get a real producer and recording and the songs they coulda been huge. The time had passed and I'm out. The lyrics suck also to both new songs. Peace. @@adammyles-rn8eh I understand what you mean, but it still a matter of band evolution / sound change and willingness to change. I know it is not punk rock, but you can take Iron Maiden's Powerslave, Brave New World and Senjutsu albums and they sound vastly different from each other. If NOFX wants to do the same thing and have the same sound all career long that's fine, but a lot of band don't and that's also fine. Strung Out have been releasing pop punk, punk rock and metal influenced songs for the last 25 years man, nothing new here lol

Okay, i get it...the sound's gotta be on a nice system or nic3 headphones to feel that separation...very nice touch for people who like that uncongested sound...not too v-shaped althought its there (modern sound signature pop tracks are tuned to)

I think that the raw sound of this song is the result of an artistic choice. Jason's voice seems to have no post production adjustments which is what makes this song so fucking hot and real.❤
